Jared Leto IS The Joker - Part 3

You know, when I saw the first official image of Heath Ledger as the Joker, I was about as upset as many people are here. Do you remember that first look, the really close up shot of his face? It was our confirmation that he was wearing caked on make-up, not bleached skin, and that he had a smile carved into his face. Just sayin'.

Personally, this isn't really my cup o' tea, but we'll see how it turns out. Maybe it's because I've given up hope on a solid, cohesive DC live-action universe, that I can view a film like this as just one director's interpretation of the character's, as opposed to the sole, official live-action version of that character, like in the MCU.

Yeah, I remember the image. I was one of those not so hot on Ledger being cast. Then I saw the image, and they had me sold. Here I wasn't hot on Leto either, and this hasn't helped at all.

I do get your point on this possibly being a one off, director's interpretation. Though I thought the point was to not do that.

This thread is moving too fast for me to catch up, but did anyone notice how conveniently placed those two tatooed grins are? I'm betting a shot like this is going to be a prominent piece in the movie or marketing:

The first official picture of Ledger Joker was way less Jokerish than this. Which is what it is, one picture. Let's just wait for at least other pics (and logically, at least a trailer) before we get off the hype train, shall we?

Listen we aren't going to agree on everything, we disagree on a lot as a matter of fact. Me, I'm all in, I liked Man of Steel and I'm giving this universe a shot. No, I don't, actually. I do remember tons and tons of manips that made him look Crowish before the reveal, though.
