i guess i understand that this probably wouldn't translate well to live action.

It would probably look great in Schumacher's universe.

I can honestly say this entire movie just seems meh. The production value screams fan film, and the only character I like is killer croc. I think Leto would be a great joker if they made him look like the joker and not a punk in joker makeup. I'll reserve my judgement but I don't see this movie being a hit at all.

Surely people should know by now that the end product doesn't look like a spy photo/video ?

:whatever:

As we all know, this film's budget is $50 and a piece of string.

Try harder you can do better.

also, i always imagined joker's jokermobile to be something sort of like sweet tooth's iconic ice cream truck/death trap in the twisted metal video game series, so idk about him driving a fresh as hell Lamborghini. unless he stole it from bruce wayne.
I hope that is what happens in the movie. Joker steals one of Bruce's cars and modifies it for himself.

Nope, absolutely not. The final product is going to be blurry and shot from unrevealing angles at a distance. :o

Oh did you get a private screening? And how can I go about getting one? :oldrazz:
All the the costumes are bland. give me $5000 I can go to ranger Joes and a thrift shop and make the exact costumes. They are trying way to hard with the Joker. Deadshot looks goofy as hell.

I work in the film business. I worked on the Dark knight rises when they were in Pittsburgh. The vibe on the set was, they just had to film it and move on. All the main players were contractually obligated to do it. I posted that the film is going to be rushed and it will seem like no one cares. I got blasted for it.

Once it came out everyone that wasn't a Nolanite started saying the same thing. Who know's maybe I'm wrong but based of the quality on everything I've seen and heard it just looks bad. Die hard fans will see it but that's about it.

Mistah J should get his hands on something like this. :drl:

I am the POTUS and this movie's gonna be amazing!

You should probably wait til its a little closer to August 2016 to say this. It would make it a lot more memorable.

What does the Die Hard franchise have to do with Suicide Squad? Also I like the Deadshot costume, it look like the most accurate live action costume so far.

It's almost unreal how stubborn some of you are about the face tattoos. Almost.

More nostalgic than anything.

Couple of things I don't like based on the initial pictures of Leto as Joker:

- I don't like his lip makeup, it looks like it's been applied basically like lipstick ie just covering his lips & no more. Whereas if you look at the likes of Nicholson, Romero, Ledger & pretty much 99% of all comic/cartoon & video game adaptions of the character, the lip makeup to an extent is slapped on to look like a smile even if Joker has a relaxed face... if that makes sense.

- Don't care too much for his shirt being open exposing all of those conveniently highly marketable Joker tattoos.. I'd have much rather seen him wearing a purple dicky bow or something.

Aside from those 2 details, I've no issue with the rest of his outfit.

The ****** little Damaged tattoo is a pain in the arse, but I remain hopeful that it will be given some kind of context in the story which makes it acceptable. Is The Joker bare chested in order to flaunt his body art to Harley? I'm not sure, but that would seem somehow encouraging if so.

Ok, if you can pick up the Giuseppe Zanotti kicks Will Smith is sporting that run for about $1000, but still stay within your budget on all the rest of the costumes then go for it. But seriously, you do realize most of the people on the Squad aren't supposed to look pretty right?

And despite fan reactions, TDKR was still critically acclaimed and a financial juggernaut. And as someone who openly acknowledges that the film has flaws, at no point would I ever say something that took months to shoot and years to develop was rushed or uncared for.

At any rate, totally different movie with a totally different team behind it. How TDKR is even relevant to this conversation is a mystery to me.

I think it's clear now that Leto's Joker is going to be gaudy as hell. I love that. Makes sense really.

Not really. To be fair, that's more about the perma-smile than the makeup. Jack Nicholson had a permanent grin stretched into his face, Ledger had one carved in.

Leto just has the red lips.. and actually there are several recognizable incarnations of the Joker which are limited to that, their natural grin being the only illumination of the trait.

I do hope to see him smile/laugh a decent amount.
