That's why I am asking if anyone has seen it? Trying to put this together.

Joker origin? Who knows

Oooohhhh i kinda hope its a TKJ style origin if its indeed a flash back. Although burton kind of used it already.

It could be that they just revisit the location in the story, because if Margot's double is there it has to be something involving Harley.

Yeah. This movie just gets more intriguing as time goes on.

Remember how the New 52 Harley origin had Joker toss her into a vat of acid at Ace Chemicals?

Yeah I do remember that. Everything is on the table at this point. I just think the amount of world-building in this movie is great. Ace Chemicals? Who expected THAT?

But that's fine, since it's just to demonstrate how Harley's skin became bleached.

It's absurd, in my opinion, and I fail to see any dramatic advantage gained by replicating The Joker's transformation for Harley. The excessive literalism of it distracts from the more appreciable drama of Harley's emotional and psychological corruption. Her own willingness to embellish her appearance in conformity with The Joker's aesthetic (both acquired and chosen) is a powerful subversion of more conventional feminine responses to love.

The Joker dunking her in chemicals was no doubt supposed to be a more overt demonstration of her transformation, but it is a far cruder one, and less meaningful. To me, it recalls the worst fanfiction, which emanates from a desire to enhance or ornament the original, but fails because it is undertaken without a full appreciation of the essential qualities of the thing being altered.

Or it recalls Batman 89 when The Joker alters his mistress Alicia's face to become his own "living work of art", crafted and molded after his image/appearance. :cwink:

I'm neutral about the Harley chemical dip. The way it's shown in the comics is a bit silly, with the aforementioned hair, but I think Ayer could pull it off.

It looks like the stunt double was ordered to take down the picture with the Ace Chemicals logo.

I'm starting to think Leto's Joker really is just flashbacks for Harley Quinn.

Anyone who likes a New 52 idea is a fool (no offence) :p

They're clearly not going to go with her full-on New 52 origin. As far as her going into a vat of acid that bleaches her skin white, I would like it if Harley chooses to take a dive into the chemicals as The Joker looks on, wanting to make herself as much like him as possible and further seeking his approval and affection..

Yes, but Alicia is not the same character as Harley Quinn, nor anywhere near as fully rendered.

These ACE Chemical photos make me... giggly.

And a resounding "NO THANK YOU" to Harley's New 52 origin.

Margot Robbie's "Harley Quinn birthday cake" was filled with nothing but New 52 Harley Quinn stuff.

He decided New 52 for a while now....even with her current look. It is what it is.

Lets just hope Ayer pulls it off better on screen than in the comics.

People how can you guys not get obsessively happy about this?

these pictures have 'Red Hood' written all over them.
ALL OVER.

it's perfect :hmr:

The 'dead' robin is definately going to be Jason Todd, but it'll turn out he isn't dead after all. Joker's 'THE JOKES ON YOU' batman in his lair will be because Robin isnt dead at all. And it'll be ROBIN/Jason Todd whom has written that on the suit, as Jason Todd will know batman's 'batcave' and secret identity.

It's perfect.

Just think about it:

Bruce is at Metropolis when Superman and Zod destroy his building, killing his employees whom Bruce probably see as 'Family'.

This will upset the Red Hood / Jason Todd, whom might have had somebody over there. He'll write Bruce a paper 'You let your family die',
which will shock Bruce.
Then he'll discover the spraypainted Robin uniform 'Joke's on you batman'.

All this together will motivate batman to come out of retirement.

This could be the point where SS movie connects to BvS

Batman, Harley AND Joker after all will be having their moments in SS.
I really could see this to be the very point that leads to the car chase.

More perfect when we discover Jason didn't take Joker's old Red Hood alias...it was his clown one ;)

That's the mind twist!

Seeing as there was a spy pic of a tombstone with Dick Grayson's name on it, I'm putting my money on him being the dead Robin.
