Jared Leto IS The Joker - Part 9

I really really really think the "Damaged" tat is Harley's work.

Maybe that's Harley's very first "compliment" to Mr. J so he tattooed it on his forehead. Aww, sweet psycho-love. :D :loco:

Every explanation that I've heard for joker having damaged on his forehead other than just wanting it there is just.....awful.

If I remember correctly, "damaged" tat was on LeJo's forehead even in the scene where they argue near the car.

People have really embraced this new joker. I'd like a full high quality picture so I can see all the tattoo(there are more)
I can't wait til we see Batfleck and Letoker interact

This is the first time I really hope Batman beats the crap out of the Joker.

Jack's version was just too likable and fun for me to want Batman to destroy him.

Heath's version was just too interesting compared to Bale's Batman.

Batfleck so far seems to really embrace that tortured soul Batman. Leto looks/acts like a sick evil pos.

I can finally root for Batman against Joker. Instead of just enjoying the Joker.

Yeah I think this Joker is more of a tough guy who would try to fight Batman. Leto is pretty cut now for the role vs the roles where he looks like a he doesn't weigh much.

People questioning what Joker is Jared Leto playing is really old. I remember after he got his hair bleached, he told someone that he's playing the Joker and their response was "The Joker Joker?".

Isn't it way too premature to say that. You haven't seen close to the full performance yet. You don't even know what the character's storyline will be. So you've no idea if he'll be more likable or interesting than Batman or not.

Ha, why do we need to know that before we wish he gets a beat down from Bats? Plus aren't the teeth fillings maybe an indicator that he's already gotten one from Bats?

Because he could easily turn out to be more likable or interesting than Affleck's Batman (which apparently are reasons why Deadstroke didn't want to see the previous Jokers get whupped). That's why you don't make definitive judgements like that until you see the finished product, or know a significant amount about him to feel that way.

Why does likability and interest matter here? They are enemies and they have had history and with the knowledge that The Joker is responsible for a Robin's death, it's safe to say Batman wants to lay a few punches here and there when he runs into him. So I'd like to see that. I liked Heath's Joker and thought him more interesting than Batman in the Dark Knight but it never upset me when Batman was laying it on him in that interrogation scene. That was inevitable!

I wish people would stop saying "The Joker wouldn't do this or that".

The Joker, at some point or other in the comics, probably has done the this or that in question.

The whole point of the modern Joker is that he follows no rules for himself, and is constantly reinventing himself and generally doing whatever he wants at a given time, whether there's a good reason for it or not.

There was no established history in the other movies.

By the time I found out Joker was responsible for Bruce's parents murder. I had already had a certain attachment level to the character. I was already having too much fun, to truly have a certain level of hate for him.

I was too amazed and caught up with the Joker to care/hate him by the time Rachel died. I only cared about the Joker's next move. I only cared about his next philosophical viewpoint.

In this movie universe. We know (or at least can assume) he tortures Harley Quinn. We know he brutally murdered a Robin. He may have even did terrible things to Barbara Gordon. Its already been expressed that this Batman that we're meeting for the first time has already gone through hell. This isnt the badass silent type Batman like Keaton. This isnt the hopeful Batman like Bale. This is the 20 year run Batman who has been put through hell by rival.

The hatred is already established and they're not just figuring each other out.

I think and assume that BvS will establish those reasons to hate the Joker. I think SS will reaffirm why we should hate him.

This established history/hate preps me for the eventual confrontation in a Joker/Batman movie. I'm assuming a lot. But I believe these filmmakers will do a good job of pulling this off.

Ok so you're saying it's all assumption, because in your last post you were saying this is the first time you've wished to see Joker beaten, and that's without even having seen anything substantial yet. Which is why you saying that stood out as woefully premature to make such a declaration.

You're right you are assuming a lot. For all you know Leto's Joker might be just as likable and interesting to you as the previous Jokers that you won't give a toss if he murders 50 new born babies, let alone that he killed Robin, or tortures Harley.

Both previous movie Jokers were giving audiences reasons to find them hateful loathsome characters. I'm not talking about the contrived killing Bruce's parents, or Rachel being killed. They were psychotic killers who were murdering innocent people by the truck load, and getting sick kicks out of it. Not to mention Nicholson's Joker mutilated his gf's face, and Ledger's Joker mutilated Harvey Dent and twisted him into Two Face. Why are these acts less worse than killing Robin or torturing Harley?

I'm not saying Leto's Joker can't or won't be a hateful creature, but your reasoning can be applied to the previous movie Jokers whom you say you were rooting for over Batman. There's every chance you'll find Leto's version just as likable and interesting as you did Nicholson and Ledger. If you could overlook their monstrous acts then I don't see why you can't with Leto's. Shouldn't make any difference that he's already got an established feud with Batman. Especially considering we've seen nothing of it. Just saying they have a history is not enough. The onus is on the movie to make the audience care about that and believe it, and that takes screen time and development. And in the course of that you could find yourself so charmed and amazed by Joker that you'll be loving him more than Batman.

That's all I'm saying. Btw regarding Batman, I haven't been following Affleck's character or BvsS much at all, but do we know for sure he'll be nothing like the previous Batmans like you say, or is this just more assumption.

I love all the tattoos.. so edgy!!

I've put together an image of what I think Magneto would look like if he'd been reimagined by the same creative team.

I added the Swastica so you know that he's evil straight by looking at him.

In how many threads to you intend to post that?
