I want his hair a touch more wild than that, personally.

Found it on deviant art. That's the look I want for him. Hair color and hairstyle

He looks like a Hemsworth.

Nah. He has some resemblence on the face.. but the beard, the hair and the color. and of course the costume is really different. :oldrazz:

It's just the picture. In real life, there isn't much of a resemblance.

That's not a great manip... It's not bad but it's kinda rough... Still, that is most definitely in the wheelhouse of what I would want to see of AquaMomoa.

I'd like the scales on the shirt to look a lot smoother.

For those who are more familiar with Aquaman's character..is there a particular reason as to why he doesn't summon his troops from Alantis more often whenever the crisis that the Justice League faces is a huge one?

I know it seems to have a bad rep but is there any love at all for the wave camouflage suit from the 1980's mini series? I like the Craig Hamilton design a lot, but it often gets listed in worst costume lists. On the other hand I don't see other artists doing the design justice other than Hamilton himself.

The simple reason that WW doesn't always call down a ton of Amazons or Thor doesn't bring in an army of Asgardians when the excrement hits the fan... That would be too easy, now wouldn't it? :cwink:

My guess is that it would leave Atlantis in a vulnerable position to a potential counterattack.

Also let's remember that Arthur always, as a leader of a nation even if he is King, has to consider political ramifications both in the wider world and at home. Those are good enough rationales in comics. I could go either way when it comes to live action.

Think of all the JLA and Avengers stories that could apply to for characters like Aquaman, Thor, Wonder Woman and The Black Panther. All have access to and control over nations with standing armies who are all the more powerful being fantasy based. Yet when was the last time any of them called in the cavalry for the team when such a move could have made victory that much easier? Not often. Why? C'mon son.... Cuz no one is looking for easy answers in comic books. We want conflict and clashes of characters.

And as I stated, there are some ok sounding rationales for why the writers don't go to that well all that often.

He's the king of Atlantis and they do follow him but his relationship with surface dwellers often puts him at odds with his people. He's kind of a progressive leader in that sense trying to get Atlantis be part of the bigger world.

Aquaman also has to worry about how he comes across to the wider Atlantean population. If you were the average Atlantean would you want to send off your sons and daughters to fight for the surface world, no matter how good the reason? Aquaman has also been on and off the throne (NO BATHROOM JOKES, PLEASE. :cwink:) so many times that at any given moment in the League's history he may not have been able to call an army up from the depths.

Hes gonna kill it. One thing that ive noticed is that the justice league heroes are tall.

Man... I so want to see AquaMomoa bust some heads at some point. I mean, just throwing goons left and right, or doing some impressive feat of strength. That would open the audience's eyes. "Oh... I guess he does more than talk to marine life." If he is in command of an Atlantean army, people will take notice too. Most aren't even aware of the whole King of Atlantis thing.

I want a scene like this:

Aquaman: I killed a guy with a trident.

Superman: Arthur, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safe house or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder.

3 out of 5 people confirmed in the cast give their adoring public the time to sit with them and take pictures
From what I saw of them so far

I so wish we'd get a BTS type photo with Cav-El, BatFleck, WonderGal and AquaMomoa together. They don't even have to be in costume. Just a quick shot of them together. Maybe even like a cell phone selfie.
