Not really, but I do believe his powers weaken when he is without water for prolonged period of time.

When I read the start of the new 52 I'm sure they changed it to him growing up on land before knowing about his parents history etc so it's no longer an issue for him.

My opinion would be no unless they want to expand the DCCU to include the Teen Titans someday.

If so, I liked him in the episodes I saw although I have to admit I have not seen all of them.

I'm curious as to how they will introduce all these heroes. I feel to do any of them justice you need at least one key moment for all of them. Momoaqua should have one cool scene that involves the ocean or weather.

If there is an aqualad I prefer Kaldur. He's awesome. I like his look in the comics more than his young Justice appearance so I hope they go with that if they used him.

If there is an Aquaman solo film, we DEFINITELY should see Aqualad. He doesn't have to be a straight up sidekick, and certainly wouldn't be called Aqualad. I think we should see both Garth and Khaldur. They can be more allies than sidekicks.

Aquaman's cameo is him fighting a recently revived Megalodon.

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! controlling a Megalodon, you know he loves sea life and maybe in the deep ocean there are some 30 m Megalodon!!!!

The Atlanteans have different anatomy from humans. They are much stronger to be able to survive deep pressures. There are also different sub-species from different colonies.

Atlantis used to be a big nation above land. Then, it split into 3 parts when it sank into the ocean. The main surviving nation and capital is Atlantis. Then there's Xebel and the Trench.

Arthur is a descendant of royal Atlantean bloodline.

Mera is Xebelian. She was the Queen of Xebel .

These guys are the Trench. They were former Atlanteans who evolved because they ended up much deeper beneath the sea floor.

Aquaman solo film: Searching for his birth mother after his father vanishes at sea, Arthur Curry finds his people in the lost city of Atlantis but is treated as an outcast due to he being a hybrid. Arthur tries to prove his worth by helping the Princess of Xebel, Mera to help convince the kingdoms of Atlantis and Xebel to resolve their conflicts peacefully. But their attempts are thwarted by the mysterious Ocean Master who plans to manipulate the kingdoms into a war and destroy both as part of a deal with the Trench.

DCCU could make Mera a more major character. Honestly she might be more appealing to a lot of woman than Wonder Woman and a lot of other female comic book characters. Despite everything Wonder Woman is supposed to stand for she is more popular among men than woman. Honestly a lot of female characters being brought up are characters guys generally like. Black Canary and Zatanna are brought up the most and they generally run around in fishnets. Shes somehow escaped being sexualized as muchnas other comic characters and she is a pretty strong female character that doesn't take **** from anyone. Yet she can be kind and supportive... Sometimes. A pretty popular character type amongst some women, and men too.

Mera is a good character and can do good for this. But she's nothing compared to WW both character and popularity in Women and men. honestly.
