Bradbird is a better fit for a reeve type Superman or Shazam.As I prefer MOS superman to reeve no Bradbird for Supes.Bradbird for Shazam instead.
Duncan Jones is more of a fit for a Badass Superman.

what a stupid thing to say. the director with the best vision for the character should get to direct it, it doesn't matter what the sex is. really a vile attitude imho. i hope a woman directs batman.

I hated John Carter. I thought the movie was a mess and the lead actor (Kitsch) was wooden and awful.

I haven't seen John Carter but can't believe Taylor Kitsch is allegedly wooden in the movie (not the first time I've heard this criticism)

He is one of my favorite actors. Mainly because of FNL. Even have a Tim Riggins jersey lol but I have always thought he would make a decent Hal Jordan

Watch John Carter, Battlesh** and Wolverine. He's terrible in all three. He's been better in other things, but he's certainly capable of turning in a bad performance.

Not to say that Wonder Woman needs to be directed by a woman, but given that a WW film would deal with an island inhabitated solely by Amazonian warriors, it would probably be beneficial to approach the film from a female perspective/sensibility - at least as far as the script is concerned. Get the couple who wrote Rise/Dawn of the Planet of the Apes to write the WW screenplay.

I hope a woman directs Batman too. I don't know where everyone is getting this idea that I am sexist. I think Katherine Bigelow would be perfect for a Green Lantern film due to her military style.

I was simply saying that people always choose a female director for Wonder Woman JUST because they are female, not that they are right for the job.

Do people never learn? Bigelow would be a mistake for Lantern. It'd be the Martin Cambell fiasco again - an unenthusiastic director who doesn't have much experience with SFX half-assing the shoot for an easy paycheck. Both are good action directors but flying superheroes are NOT their thing.
