Huh? Am I crazy? No I think I figured it out. Joe Q makes out landish statements like "the controversal marriage of MJ and Peter" Leaks images where it looks like MJis dead. And why? To sell more books.

He sells more comics making you think he is going to kill off MJ and giving you hints at it's possibility than actually doing it. So for now, at least, he needs MJ alive to sell the books. As soon as he actually does it, no more controversy. No more reason for people to check in to see "if" it will happen.

I mean really, they killed her once and brought her back, do you think they'll do it again?

I've said this a lot.

Also, the main problem JQ has said, (about a million times,) is that there's nothing he can do about it. Divorcing him makes him older, and making him a widower makes him even older. Thats' why he thinks it's a problem, he can't change it.

You also hit the nail on the head about the way he teases everyone... He does it all the time, it's a ploy of his that works.

Marvel love to shock nowadays, how can he shock if he delivers something that everyone has expected for ages???

Also, we all know he loves to say stuff that just makes people go crazy and talk on the internet.

He's said plenty of times that he believes the worst thing that could happen is that if no one is talking about the comics, which I can see his point on that fact

No matter how much the guy teases and what not something terrible is still going to happen to Peter in the next issue of Amazing Spider-Man. It's a pretty good ploy to wave the death of MJ in front of everyone's faces and then have it not be her. But I just don't see Peter Parker putting on the black costume with MJ still alive, or even dead for that matter. I mean, if you're going to honor MJ's memory I don't think she wants you to be wearing the black costume. Unless the whole MJ being freaked out by the black costume is masterfully wiped out of continuity like so many things have been in the past.

It's so obvious though. THe Bullet is going to hit either of them or neither. The out come of that doesn't matter as much as the fact that it happens. Then Peter is a part of the New Avengers (who we know from solicitations are still being hunted and on the run following CW) So Peter and MJ do the "I love you but we need to be apart from eachother thing for now or MJ might get hurt" thing

That's my prediction anyway, we know MJ doesn't die because of one more day, and the writting is pretty much on the wall for what one more day is about.

Best case scenario is Oswald's magic bullet: Bullet hits window frame... bounces downtown... enters through Joey's temple...exits through his bowels...goes directly into JMS's open mouth (with half of bowel) and out his left eye.

AND THE CROWD GOES WILD!!

Afterwards, Pete remembers that he has a supporting cast, is an everyman AND that he uses web-shooters. Good stories ensue.

i too have also heard that they will only be apart for safety reasons

the whole " we need to separate for safety reasons" is really pointless because think about it. Everybody knows Peter's spiderman now and they kow his relatives. Even if MJ leaves him she's still gonna be hunted and used as bait for Peter. So they might as well stay together, its not like if she leaves then everyone's gonna forget that Mj s Peter's wife. Am i wrong?

^ No, you're right.

If they go down that road...seperation...(AGAIN)...the "i can't be with you for your safety" thingy....that is gonna make Pete look like a bigger jerk and a bigger moron. Reveals his identity, putting her in major danger and then leaves her ( putting her in more major danger)....that'd write Pete as an even bigger moron than they've already accomplished i think.

If they go down the death road (again too) it makes him look like a jerk too...and an old grumpy widower.

I hope we don't go down either of those roads. Been down both roads enough already.

I doubt shes dying. I'm betting on the whole Loki thing myself.

there's no doubt that the Loki favor's gona come into play, its just a matter of what the favor will be. And what about the "One More Day" storyline? What would "one more day" signify?

I've thought about that too... But it doesn't make sense when thinking about why JQ doesn't like the marriage.

He thinks that

a) It ages too much
b) It loses the 'sexiness,' of Spidey stories where he can date/sleep around

If they seperate them for safety reasons, it still leaves them married. And as we've said above, JQ will never divorce the pair.

Also, if Peter refuses to see MJ, that means he's never date anyone. Spidey once again becomes too serious and secluded, and loses a lot of the 'fun,' that makes him Spidey.

I'm not saying that JMS and JQ are not beyond doing this, but it doesn't make any sense to what JQ has said in so many interviews. And these weren't the kind of interviews as of late, to 'stir the pot.' These are comments he's been making from very long ago, when seriously discussing the Spider-Man character.

I really hope that they don't do that, it'd be a major cop out.

Not only that, they seem to have learned over the last few years that Spidey fans seem to really detest the whole magice aspect in Spidey comics. Not only that, the MU is starting to get a hell of a lot more grounded in reality. Epecially seeing as Civil War is so reality based

JQ has also stated LOADS of time, that there aren't going to be anymore 'Dallas,' style retcons... Things'll move forward in a serious way, and the changes will stay due to real character interaction.

Using Loki will not only defy what he proffesses, but really confuse fans. Especially compared as to how Spidey has been written for the last year or 2.

Don't forget, it was JQ who ordered that MJ and Pete get back together, he saw that fans love them together.

I don't know... I'm genuinley stumped. I think 'One More Day,' could mean a lot of things... To keep going on, to take things as they come... just 'one more day.' Or maybe the time he needed to save someone, to get everything right he just needed 'one more day?'

I'm not worried about her dying. She could die and I'd be more or less ok with it. What I'm worried about is the whole "no more memory" Scarlet witch type bullsh** that could happen. That will kill apart of me on the inside.

Oh S**T

Looks like people's worst fears are indicated here...

Q: “archangel" - In Amazing Spidey #42 JMS wrote on page 4 that a Dr. Strange mini series, titled: "The Other Side of Darkness" will be written and will make sense of Dr. Strange actions in that story. Plus, on the same page was written that "No really. It will. Would we lie about a thing like that?"

JQ: I’m so glad you asked that question, archangel. Why don’t we go to the source himself and see what the master, JMS has to say about this.

J. Michael Straczynski : Yo, you may be the archangel, but the friendly folks at Marvel are the ARC-angels, nothing is ever forgotten, it all lines up in the end, and when they say "Would we lie about a thing like that?" you can be absolutely certain that this would be a good time to check your wallet. So yes, absolutely and without equivocation, you will see what was happening on the other side of that door in "One More Day." Suffice to say it should be rather, well...devastating.

But I dunno... This doesn't make sense to me. JQ is never normally so obvious when doing something big, he normally misdirects info.

You kno, for once I AM COMPLETELY Stumped. I have no idea what JMS is planning, it seems like the clues are going in all sorts of directions. I mean damn, it sounds like Peter's world is going to be destroyed over the next 5 months. Whatever happens in next issue of ASM is going to be devastating, and whatever's gonna happen in "One More Day' is going to be even more devastating, my god what is this dude planning to do with Spidey?
