John Carter : A Princess of Mars - Part 4

I didn't love it, but I did like it quite a bit.

Same here, it didn't deserve to flop, it was a pretty good movie. Much worse films have been successful.

I need to re watch it again in the near future, I only saw it once in the theater opening weekend.

I really enjoyed it and would have liked to have seen a sequel.. They should have cast someone else other than Kitsch but I don't think he did that bad really..

I know that people say his inexperience showed during production and stuff but I think it's more of a shame that Stanton came away with a bit of a bad rep (I know he went back to Nemo 2 so Disney can't have been too sour on him) 'cos, like Brad Bird, I thought he had a decent visual flare and transitioned quite well from animation to live action (Bird probably did it better I have to say) but, like Bird, I'd like to see him doing some more live action stuff (Bird was my pick to take over Avengers).. A Bird or Stanton directed Pirates movie would be cool imo.

I just started listening to the audio book of the sequel yesterday. I find it hilarious that ERB introduced White and Black Martians who are both slave holding cannibals whose sense of superiority makes the Nazis look restrained.( the other races are so much lesser than those two they have no problem eating their flesh)

subtlety was not his strong suit.
