k i dont know about anyone else but my favorite moments were when Joker gave his bogus personal histories about how he gained the lovely smile on his face. And that got me to thinking...where else could that have gone? what if the are more? why not make some more? So here is whee we can come up with our own Joker scars stories. Heres mine to start

"You know how i got theses scars? There was this clown at a comedy club one night, i didnt find him very funny. every night he was there i took it upon myself to boo him and he took it upon himself to point me out to the crowd and make jokes on me. well one night i guess he had enough, pulled a gun and shot at me. the bullet sliced through my face leaving me with a pretty bad scar there. After that my girlfriend couldnt bear to look at me and said i'd be better off with both scarred up,why be half ugly when there isnt much left? so one night i came home to find her in bed with another guy, now of course...i was..upset and got into a scuffle with the other guy and it ended with him slicing my other cheek with a pocket knife. she left with him, and i lived alone for a while. About a yea after i saw the clown on tv...and he actually told a funny joke. like i couldnt stop laughing, i laugh all th way into the bathroom and i stopped to look in the miror, then i realized when i looked in the mirror...he was just trying to make me smile"

not that great, lets se what you guys got

"You want to know how I got these scars? Well.. This one time, in band camp..."

I love how the stories constantly changed. Makes me think that had they fleshed out the Joker in the next film, he is a complete sociopath with a normal upbringing, who probably got the scars tripping into a window or something.

i do think it had to do with his father tho cuz he mentioned it more then once..

Nice avy!

Probably did have something to do with his dad. I actually kinda liked the first story he told spawn.

Man, towards the end when he was about to give another story I was like SWEET give us ANOTHER version lol! Then he got interrupted! Pissed me off lol!

I think both stories are true. I think his old man cut one side & later in life he cut the other side so his wife wouldn't feel so bad.

3rd Upcoming Story:

Joker: "By the way you wanna know how I got these scars?"

*theater crowd* "Yes!!!!"

Batman: "No, but I know how you got these!" *shoots arm pieces at Joker*

*theater crowd* "Ohhh come on!!!"

Yeah it was a bummer :oldrazz:

stories were disturbing and had me on edge loving it.

he says "go back to ripping off mob dealers?" to Batman in the interrogation scene.. what he has on his face, apart from a Chelsea Grin/Glasgow Smile are called "snitch cuts"/"snitch smile". It's a form of punishment given to those who rip off/lie/snitch on mafia crime families. The fact that he lies throughout the whole move shows that he has trouble with the truth and it seems like a family caught him out and punished him

I'm actually begining to believe there is truth to his stories. As mentioned before he does mention his father twice. I have two theories about his stories.

Theory A: His dad did carve his face as kid but only half (as he did with Gambol), he then got the scar fixed somewhat with surgery. Then afterwards he did cut the full scar after his wife was attacked.

Theory B: He cut the scars himself and blames it on certian people in his history such as his wife and dad.

I love how serious he got while sticking the knife in spawn's mouth. Repeatedly saying why so serious?

"Wanna know how I got these scars? Well, one night I was looking for some female companionship, so I thought I would try an online dating service. Unfortunately, I got matched up with the chick from 'Teeth.'"

interesting, i always thought it was something mob related

The WHY SO SERIOUS story had me on edge but not as much as hise wife story. That would def make someone insane.

The way I took it was that his father cut the left side of his face, leaving the very rough looking scar. Then he (joker) cut the right side with the razor blade leaving the clean looking scar.

Personally, I don't think there's any truth to either one of 'em.

i think it was obvious that he did cut himself and just made up stories. maybe one of them is true but i think he is so crazy that it didnt matter to him, he probably doesnt remember how he got them.

what i was hoping for was that he would tell batman he got the scars because he found it so funny that a man would dress up like a bat that he decided to never let that smile leave his face. so he cut the smile into himself so he would never stop smiling from the laughter batman gave him

I love that he told different stories. It's classic Joker. :)

I thought the stories were pretty pointless. They didn't really add anything to the character. I don't mind The Joker monologuing, but I wish he hadn't been so direct about it.
