Days of Future Past Lawrence vs. Romijn...... FIGHT!!!

Ok. Classic poll, which is better Romijn or Lawrence.

Who brings more to the role!? Who gets you buzzing about there character when they are in the film.

I guess this has been done before, but up to date statistics won't hurt!
Also if there is anyone else who cold play the role the lets discuss that.

I think Lawrence is the better actress and she's certainly had the better, more challenging material, but I still think Rebecca is the unsung hero of the X-Men franchise. She did so much with that role, despite it being underwritten, and had such a great onscreen presence, especially when acting alongside an absolute legend in Ian.

It's a shame she doesn't get the credit she deserves and I would love to see her back in a DOFP sequel, especially now that the character has been more fleshed out.

lawrence played a different mystique in FC to rebecca which is why i think this poll is abit odd

can't really judge till you see more lawrence as her :/

Don't know which one is better actress, have to wait and judge, but Romijn has definitely better look. Lawrence is still fat at face, even when she lost on weight.

They played completely different versions of the character so both would be my answer. I think both did well with the material they had to work with.

I completely agree, almost like two seperate characters, but it's gonna be great to become 1.

I thinks this poll is more about favourites, which actress creates more of a buzz! For me I really like the dark side of Romijn. The presence I think, is what is important in a actor. to create impact even in the smallest roles. It's her that opened out the possibility of fleshing her out as a character.

Lawrence is very good and can't wait to see her again.

Agreed, they played the characters that were written for them, Lawrence we just have FC to really go by and her character was written to be one of the good guys with some young innocents and insecurities while Rebecca plays the confident quiet fighting girl

It doesn't seem right to judge, at least not till you see what they do with Lawrence mystique in DOFP

Poll's kind of misleading. It sounds as if it's referring to the two characters fighting--in that case, I'd pick Romijn.

But Lawrence is the one who brought new depth to the character and I just don't think Romijn could pull that off, even if she were the right age.

And why do I keep hearing crap about Lawrence being fat??? When was she ever fat? She's stunning. Woman aren't meant to be size zero.

Need to see more of Lawrence as Mystique, since we have only seen one film with her as Mystique thus far. Although if I base this from X-Men (2000) and X-Men First Class, I prefer silent killer Mystique.

Romijn = she's more bad-ass, mysterious and for me she's more iconic as Mystique

This REALLY isn't a fair comparison. Romijn was a fully-developed Mystique with decades of experience and battle-hardened. Lawrence was a teenage Mystique who had never really been in a fight before and was just starting to master her powers. I want to see what Lawrence does in DOFP before even remotely trying to compare them.

i didn't care for the first class origin they gave mystique. but i fully appreciate Romjin's bad@ss version of Mystique in the original films. i kind of feel bad for Fassbender, Kevin Bacon, and McAvoy. they turned in great performances/elevated the material they were given. but they were surrounded by dorks.

Because Rebecca Romijn is just better than Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique in general. And I have a feeling the Mystique that we will see in DOFP still has a weak side (for example, we saw her tearing up in the trailer, its soooo not Mystique imo). I prefer the Mystique that is strong, cold, mysterious and the make-up work that they did for Mystique in DOFP is not a big improvement.
