Damn O.O Seeing that...Would definitely scare me for life xD

Side note: I watched Godzilla vs. Mothra ('92) for the first time in a good 15 years. I liked it quite a bit once it got going and introduced the eggs and Godzilla showed up (the human story is okay, but dreadful with the dubbing)

I must say, Battra does not get enough love. Both its larval and adult stages are wicked as hell.

Also, my girlfriend's parents recently told me a story about her being actively upset and crying because Godzilla loses in that film.

Oh, Jesus...

Is that real (as in, from the movie or related to it)?

Okay, has she seen Godzilla vs Destroyah? If she loves Godzilla, but was upset over him losing in Mothra, she would probably commit suicide over that film's ending...

That would be a scary sight if you saw that in real life, seeing that from the shore.

Would Godzilla's immense bulk actually cause a mini tsunami? Striking image. Is it official or fan art?

^ Fan art, not connected to this film. Wish I could find the source.

Haha, I doubt she'd have such a strong reaction now. This was in 1999 or so.

And the wave picture is fan art.

By the way word on the street is the trailer is delayed due to disagreement (Between Edwards and the studio?) over the cut of the trailer and they missed their deadline to get it approved.

You know what I didn't know? Haruo Nakajima, the Godzilla suit actor from the first 12 films is still alive. He turned 85 last month.

It is oddly interesting to me that he, Roger Moore, and Adam West are all about a year apart. Godzilla, James Bond, and Batman are the same age!

I would have loved for that picture to have been in the movie.

His general mass has been detailed of creating a mini tsunami or at least a very large tidal wave whenever he surfaces. Although this was introduced into the later modern films.(2001/GMK-onward)

So it might be put into this film since it really helps give Godzilla a huge sense of mass.

What I really hope they do is bring back the horror element. As a kid when I watched Godzilla 1985, I had nightmares of Godzilla stomping on my home, school, and my home city. I even get the dreams still from time to time. That's the fear I want to feel again when I watch this movie. I want to feel that fear and terror again like I did as a kid. Most of it came from the mood and tone, plus the dark and brooding music really helped shape my young mind at night

I know that might sound foolish and maybe unrealistic, but I'm tired of Godzilla being the good guy. So far, I'm seeing some horror elements, but personally I think there needs to be more. I want to be that scared kid again, I want this to be more of a great horror monster movie than anything. They need something like that to re-establish what Godzilla is in today's movie society.

I think you can make him scary and not necessarily the villain of the piece. I remember when I saw Godzilla vs Destroyah as a kid I was scared of Big G, but I was even more scared of Destroyah.

I thought this thread was the marketing for the movie.

So, might as well spread the word. NO trailers at all this month. Movie Maniac's twitter is saying that the new trailer will be finished EDITING on the 14th, not debuting. So yeah, nothing is happening this month.

King Kong vs. Godzilla is airing on TV right now, it's on MeTV /WCCB D2right now. Which is either channel 11.2 or 126. So if you have the channel, view and enjoy!
