I'd love for some of that 90s era sci-fi charm in the film, Godzilla vs Destroyer or even King Gidorah are some of the best of the genre IMO

I hope they take their cues from the direction IDW has taken with their comic series. The coming of Godzilla (and possibly other monsters) is a big, apocalyptic thing, and when the kaiju appear, it's totally awe-inspiring.

like what Terry said, they have to be careful because Pacific Rim comes out next year, and that's from the same studio Legendary/WB

I'd rather just pretend those comics don't exist lol.

they made a godzilla comic, that barely had godzilla in it, that never explained where he came from, or any of the other monsters for that matter, and opted to focus on weird black humor and satire that bordered on "meet-the-spartans" level of non-subtlety.

With all the crap going on here in America and the world now is a perfect time for a Godzilla movie

All i know is this....Comic Con needs to hurry up and get here so we can find out more info from Legendary!

Guess what, fans?

Godzilla will be AT COMIC CON!!!!

Not only is Legendary bringing the Lizard to comic con but get this, I hear the presentation is SICK! I’m not going to get into specific spoiler territory because then what’s the point of attending the panel, but take this one to the bank.

Godzilla will stomp both the audio and video systems within Hall H two weeks from this Saturday! I’ll be there to witness it myself. I can already envision them shutting down the lights, hearing Godzilla’s roar, and the crowd going wild!

Anyway, Max Borenstein is currently re-writing the script from David Goyer. Gareth Edwards is directing.

Cool beans. Godzilla is always a welcome addition to pretty much anything

awesome...on a side note, they can leave politics out of this. I don't wanna hear who is to blame for Godzilla. Yes, I want a good story, but no ''that bad ol' America is to blame for Godzilla.''

Just bring us a good film with a Godzilla that LOOKS like Godzilla is supposed too, and give him a monster to fight with lots of city stomping fun thrown in..

i'd like to see the design for this Godzilla

i dont think the original story blamed America... the original story blamed man in general because of their desire for power and destruction

yeah plus I think it would be a huge missed oppurtunity to disregard the original point to godzilla.

Funny thing enough I will be at G-fest (Godzilla convention) that day but you can bet i along with all the fans there will be keeping our computers close to us!

Will anyone here be going to that presentation at Comic Con?

I know, i'm not saying I dont want it explained, I just don't want beat over the head with it.

I'm mildly intrigued by this, never really been a huge Godzilla fan. At the moment I'm way more excited for Pacific Rim, after that's out of the way we'll see.

I can't get very exited for Pacific Rim because it may end the chances of a Godzilla reboot or of a long promised Evangelion Live-Action Trilogy

Godzilla seems like a certainty at this point, since it's coming to Comic-Con. They even have writers and a director on board.

From the live blog of the WB panel.

We just got a GODZILLA trailer!

The footage pans across a city that has been utterly destroyed
We hear a voice over a radio talking about the end of the world
It looks like another giant creature's body is in the wreckage
We hear the classic Godzilla scream
from the smoke, we see something enormous. We're following a camera up Godzilla's back, showing his scales
We see his face, but it's almost a silhouette.
It looks a LOT like the classic Godzilla design but with a slightly fatter face
