Of the TV actors:
Damian Lewis: I know I said earlier that he would be a good casting for Lex, but I hadn't watched Homeland in a while and now that I watch more of it I realize that Damian Lewis is an awful choice for Lex. There is nothing intimidating about Damian Lewis. When he's angry, he's not intimidating. He is a whiner. He sounds like someone who is annoyed but in no way threatening.
Bryan Cranston: Firstly, let me say that he won't play Walter White in the SuperBat film. He will play Lex. There are glimpses of Lex in Walter White - if you watch the couple of episodes where Walter White is acting with great swagger and villainous intent. It is very rare, but it is there. He will bottle those glimpses and use it for the entirety of the SuperBat film. Plus he knows how to act like he's intelligent (very few can do this). He'd be an outstanding Lex.
Michael C. Hall: This guy is my choice for Lex. And he's very close to Lex when he plays Dexter. Forget the scenes where Dexter is behaving all happy-go-lucky, and just watch the scenes where Dexter is being himself (ruthless killer). That is Lex. Its a combination of calculating, brooding, extremely intelligent, intimidating. In addition, if the SuperBat script ever calls for Lex to time a joke.....Hall is great at that too.
I vote for Hall. He has a youthful face, and I think he would do a great job at coming across as likeable for the general public to accept.
Also, that would leave Cranston for Gordon
