I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I say Jon Hamm.

I'd say Jon Hamm even if that Funny or Die sketch of him as Lex Luthor didn't exist.

He's a great actor, he's young enough that we could take him seriously as a physical threat but old enough that we could take him seriously as an experienced and successful businessman(which he's demonstrated that he can do well in Mad Men).

He's got a good physique that wouldn't make Cavill or Affleck look too skinny or too big in comparison to him.

And he looks good bald.

I'd love to hear Luthor was only a bit part in MOS.

It'd mean the next solo Superman could be all about the two of them.

Whereas I feel like if he has too big a role in BVS then then they'll wanna go with a totally different villain in the next solo Supes film.

I say pair him up. I REALLY want the next film to be a true sequel, and then have Luthor be the puppet master behind Metallo. Once Luthor is exposed, he can then go rouge and join forces with Brainiac, who turns out to be a bigger villain.

Batman can then try to stop Luthor on Earth, while advising Superman in space on the data he might know in order to stop Brainiac.

So yeah, I guess I want MOS2 (that happens to feature Batman) then a W/F movie.

But if they do W/F first, I want DC to do WW next. And the solo Superman sequel should go into the relationships between ALL the characters, primarily Clark and the world around him. The villain should be a supporting character, and not dominate the plot.

And after that, they should do a Justice League. I really want a WW before a JL film, though.

So yeah, MOS2,Superman/Batman, WW,JL.
Or Superman/Batman,WW,MOS2, JL

Something like that. Because if we were to wait until five or so characters got off the ground we'd NEVER have a JL movie anytime soon.

My No. 1 choice for Lex Luthor is Brad Pitt. But if they went a little older (Pitt is 49, Hanks is 57), and less of a physical threat, Hanks could pull off BRILLIANTLY the public side of Lex Luthor. With him, you'd realize why the public loves him and see that he's a man who could turn the world on Superman. And with his acting abilities, no doubt he could pull off the slimy, dark, evil Lex when one-on-one with the Man of Steel.

Luthor? I dnt know. Maybe Morgan Edge. Then again, if the man wants in give him whatever role he wants.

Well, we have Jamie Foxx, Paul Giamatti, James Spader, Glenn Close, and Robert freaking Redford, Mr. King of the independent cinema, all appearing in superhero films over the next few years, so Hanks being interested isn't that surprising.

Hanks as Luthor would..

• bring prestige to a character that many are tired of..
  
• Make it an emotional experience to watch a person lose his sense of identity over his obsession with Superman.
  
• Be a believably trustworthy character...
  
• Give the character of Lex a tragic quality, someone who could have been a hero and chose not to be.
  
• Sure, he'd be kind of old, but I think that would give him a sense of wisdom and intelligence and add to the plausibility of someone a step ahead of BATMAN.

Never seen one single episode of BB.

If Tom Hanks were to play Luthor, he needs to change up his voice a bit. Whenever I see/hear Tom Hanks speak he sounds too much like Tom Hanks, he kinda needs to get past it.

Only now I'm starting to warm up to Cranston as Luthor as I've been watching Breaking Bad, shame it's unlikely now. :/
