I don't like either, but Pitt less of the two.

I don't get nor do I like the Pitt suggestion. I don't hate Pitt, I mean he has his moments but he is mostly boring to me. I also don't see Pitt playing third fiddle behind Affleck and Cavill.

Imagine if it was Billy Zane. I would be a grown up and apologise to all of his supporters. Then I'd laugh. Then I'd cry.

I have no doubt he could do it. But the movie would be tainted by his recent string of DTV movies. It's sad how washed up he is.

A year ago, I would've hated the idea of McConaughey playing Lex, but now I'm all over it. He really turned his career around, and I can see Snyder going after him.

Yeah my prediction for Lex is McConaughey. i just have a feeling about it...

Bah, Pitt would do it for his kids in a heartbeat. He doesn't strike me as having an ego that wouldn't allow him to play Supermans arch nemesis.

I'd be fine with McConaughey but that accent would take some getting used to.

I still think Bradley Cooper could be really good. I'm sure he's going to be shooting something and probably wouldn't be interested anyway but after his great work in Silver Linings Playbook and A Place Beyond the Pines I would just love to see him tackle the role.

Hmmm...I don't think I've seen Pitt suggested before. That's an interesting choice. He fits the type I'm looking for in that he's handsome. Of course, he's a bit older than I would want, but he's still fine. I just can't see him playing the villainous type. He's got that nice guy face...lol...if that makes any sense.

I thought he could basically mix the later version of his Pines character with the manic craziness of his Playbook character. I also like that he is around Affleck's age. I'm not just picking guys because they are bald and look like versions of a drawing, I'm fancasting based on this little thing called acting talent.

And I don't think Bradley Cooper would be a particularly great Lex. But he'd be serviceable as he's a good actor. He just wouldn't be anything special.

The Place Beyond The Pines proves nothing. He's nothing like Lex in that movie.... so I dunno where you're getting this choice from. It reeks of "flavor of the month" casting.

Anyways, that picture looks like Cooper so from a visual standpoint (a huge part of casting comic book characters) he fits the part. That's all I've been saying. No need to get pissy pal

Pitt wouldn't necessarily be the 3rd fiddle per say. He would be the main villain and attraction besides the heroes.

If he were cast his name would probably be the last on the promo posters like how it went with Freeman in TDKT and how it went for Crowe in MOS.

That is what would make Pitt as Lex intriguing.

He would be a good contemporary to Afflecks Bruce. He would also be good in the nice charismatic public persona side of Lex, but then be the Tyler Durden wicked type who hates the Alien Superman.

Of course he wouldn't an anarchist like Durden was, but it would be interesting to see Pitt be a bad guy like Lex.

I still can't imagine it really. The last thing I watched him in was WWZ and he just didn't strike me as having the same energy as he had when he was in Fight Club. Perhaps it is because he's older, but I just don't see that spark anymore.

Sure. Whatever works...but I'm sure there will be more funny moments...especially in the scenes between Clark and Lois, Lois and Bruce, Lois, Clark and Bruce....etc...
