Lionsgate "Power Rangers" - Part 6

Idk when it comes to reimagining I think the best way to go is to think: "Alright if I made all the changes to whatever will it still resemble the character"

The X-Men movies really reimagined the character's costumes but Wolverine still had his trademark weird hair, Storm still had her cape, Cyclops still had her visor. I think that's the best way to go about things imo

But my feelings about the costume aside we'll see how the film turns out.

I expected Rita to look like a space witch.
.....and she does.

I wish that the cleavage cut in the middle wasn't so low (she's already sexy enough costume people, no need for that). BUT, it's an interesting design nonetheless (I hadn't thought of the Tommy connection, but that's an interesting possibility).

I'm curious to see/hear what kind of voice she uses?

Bingo.

no i just think they realized rita looks freaking stupid in her original costume so they redesigned her for the better

This.

I find the reimaging for Rita too extreme for my tastes.

No bunns...no scepter...no cone boobs? Visually i feel it needed one of those peices to be recognizeable as Rita. Oh well.

Judging by her design I feel like she'll have a symbiotic voice, like Venom. Or something like how your voice sounds when you talk into a fan.

Im finding it amusing reading comments on other forums where people are disapointed because it looks 'grim dark' The costume looks like it would fit right in with Stark Trek or The Fifth Element which are both very non grim dark films

Another great example is the Captain America movie costumes while not all of them looked good (Im looking at the helmet from The Avengers) it still looks like Captain America.

The Wonder Woman costume is a great reimagining. And imo WW has one of the corniest source material costumes

Re-imagining doesnt necessarily mean you have to throw what your basing it on. That's silly

This looks like Madam Hydra to me.

Can't see Elizabeth hamming it up in that costume, tho.

I think good costume designers when they are adapting pay tribute to what came before but still take it that one step further to make it make sense in a real world situation ie Captain America, Wonder Woman, Batman....etc.

A little early to say that don't you think?

Her costume is one of the things that made Rita, Rita. In my opinion at least. That's like if Zack Snyder took off the cape along with the red underwear for Superman and gave him a helmet to hide his S curl cause it looked cheesy. We'd be pissed.

For anyone wondering what the old Rita looks like this is her from the 1995 film.

I'll say this. I don't dislike the costume, but it sure doesn't scream "space witch" nearly as much as the old one does.

I don't hate the costume but I don't love either. Rita couldn't keep that awful costume from the original but I don't love her being sexy. I never saw the character as sexy.

rita whole costume it cheesy and works perfectly fine for a tv show aimed at 5 year olds not not a full length feature film needing to get worldwide appeal

Nice, but I don't like the green. Like, at all.

I like it. I'll love it if she has a scepter in film.

Perhaps there is a kind of Jupiter Ascending like concept were the aliens are in some way dino hybrids and the suits in some way enhance that.
