Live-Action The Little Mermaid

I feel like Jungle Book managed to do a good job creating realistic-ish CG animals that still felt expressive and lively in their designs. They seem to have forgotten that and instead we just get dead eyes and uncharismatic big cats.

Idk why they didn't just create an in-world version of talkable species who are rare and undiscovered that look like their animated counterparts.

Leave Flounder alone! He's trying, dammit! :argh:

I know, bless his gills, but he scared the sh** out of me!

I wish they’d have played around with the eyes a bit but in the actual footage he looks fine to me. That camera man obviously has it out for poor flounder lol.

Campea said they showed Ursula’s scene of Poor Unfortunate Souls at Cinema Con. And they really loved the visuals and Melissa’s performance. I can’t wait to see it.

lol everyone is taking the piss out of these character designs (which… fair enough), but let’s not pretend we’d be all that much happier if they just rendered the original animated designs in CG.

I’ve seen this game play out too many times to believe that social media wouldn’t be out to kill Sebastian with fire.

Whoever is designing these posters should be fired View attachment 64477
Hideous photoshop aside, the...err..."splash effect" on the 4DX logo is unfortunate.

I remember people were plenty creeped out when the designs for the enchanted objects in the live action Beauty and the Beast were revealed but I gotta admit, they looked better in the final product.

I saw Avatar 2 in 4DX and the theater (b&b theaters) I went to totally scammed us. The chairs moved only during the whaling scene, not exactly a scene that should be “fun” imo. I might try it again with this but at a Cinemark instead.

Lmao that's funny in a messed up way.

Gosh I’m getting so excited with all this hype! I know this is controversial but I hope this isn’t the only little mermaid film

Lol, It was my third time seeing the film and I was like “where’s the movement”? It had all the wind, smells, and light flashes but no chair movement. That whaling scene starts up, the chairs came to life, and I was like “oh hell no, not this scene”. Then when the Tulkun dies they splash you in the face with water and the chairs stopped moving for the rest of the movie...

Is anyone seeing this in imax? Unfortunately it’s not showing in imax at my local area. I bet it’s awesome there though

Yeah I just found out my local imax is showing this so maybe I will too! I think this movie will be such a visual fest so I think it’s worth it

There's no Daughters of Triton on the soundtrack. If they omitted that song for the movie in order to give Scuttle a full solo....

That's it I’m done no more until I’m in the theater lol. Currently tracking for over a 100 mill opening weekend.

I’ve booked in for imax! I’m taking my own personal prince Eric

Well, look to the director Rob Marshall. The ugliest looking Pirates movie. Mary Poppins Returns was pretty drab too.
