Anything mildly controversial they changed or removed.

This was one of my concerns, an animated movie shouldn't be darker than a live action adaption but Disney has really been toning down the adaptions.

Im really interested to see what all they added for the additional hour. They cut DoT so what will they do now? Tritons solo is cut. Ursula is his sister once again but will that be expanded upon?

Especially because Chiwetel Ejiofor can actually sing! There was a lot that movie didn't get right but that stood out as the biggest offender to me.

I am actually shocked, I had no idea people gave a crap about DoT so much…it’s probably my least favorite song from the movie and I won’t miss it lol.

I read the Chefs song is on the soundtrack and speculations are that it’s a credits song like ScarJo’s Trust in Me and Helena Bonham Carters Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo.


Overall I’m even more excited by the reactions. Everyone is praising Halle and McCarthy.

It's a great introduction to the sisters and was catchy for being under 1min. I was hoping they would expand on it and use it go into a bit of greater detail about each of them and the seas they govern.

If anything it would make more sense to include that in the live action version since I assume they're in it more given that it's a longer movie. In the animated version they only show up in what, maybe three scenes?

Between this and Kiss The Girl, it appears Sebastian's songs have all the life and rhythm of a karaoke night where the DJ refused to pay for the licensed instrumental tracks and is just playing the ones on YouTube that skirt the copyright strike system.

ah well at least those songs still exist in the little mermaid live. And maybe disney was being really brave by not normalising French people
