So that thing with Deadpool that just leaked that's actually right before the film starts? Like right after the trailers?
Yes.

“There was a moment when we were thinking about, as I recall, Jim [Mangold] had an idea where when they were on the run, and they go to the gambling town, there may have been at that point they were going to see [Sabertooth] for help. He was going to be there for help. Now that you mention it! I wouldn’t swear to it, but we thought that would have been an interesting thing to do. And then for whatever reason we didn’t do it.”
I personally think it is an almost obsessive bit of brand loyalty. The fact that Marvel isn't personally making them, and Fox is doing it out of a license, creates a sense of it being a "cheat" to some fans.
But if you just view them all as movies, yes, Fox has made three of the best five superhero movies in the last five years. Of course, that is my opinion, but it takes a real bias to ignore the quality of First Class, DOFP, Deadpool, and Logan to me. Even The Wolverine is better than any DCEU film and a number of MCU entries.
I'm not saying you have to like them better than MCU or DCEU (though you should in the latter's case). Just the way folks write them off in fan communities always seems strange.
"It actually hits home a lot harder than the versions that really painted out specifically the flashback," Green tells Heat Vision. "Of course there are versions we wrote that were never filmed with the actual flashback of what happened, but I’ve found the experience of watching it is far more poignant to just know that it was something really regrettable and it was bad and most likely, friends were lost. Or maybe it was people we didn't know."
Viewers are left to make their own conclusions, but it seems as though Charles had an incident and ended up [BLACKOUT]accidentally killing some of his own X-Men family.

"Was it Logan? Was it Charles? It was probably Charles but he doesn’t know. He has no memory; he has no recollection," Stewart says. "He has an instinct, an impulse, that something happened and it was bad."
Director James Mangold says the decision to cut the flashback a simple one: "I wanted to make a movie less about information and more about character."
"Nothing will be better than going online and reading fan theories about what happened at the end because I want to hear that version," says Green. "I know what I think happened, I even know what did happen, but it doesn’t matter, because what’s canonized here is the emotional effect of things."
Thank god those flashbacks weren't included. I think that would have been wildly unnecessary and too much.
Apparently there was thought into putting sabertooth in the movie but it didn't happen
