What will be interesting is if Marvel rethink their stance on doing more adult fare if Logan is as big a hit financially as it is critically.

I'd certainly like to see a Thunderbolts film that skews a bit darker, or a Captain America movie that actually fully displays the absolute monster that the Red Skull is.
I won't be able to judge it before I see it myself, but I personally would, when the MCU has seemingly finished off all of its phases and stuff, perhaps delve into singular elseworld stories where they can really delve into these characters. The way some people talk about how Hugh and Patrick just reached for something deeper than ever before with these characters makes me wonder if there's something deeper that RDJ or Chris Evans or ScarJo could explore. Obviously it depends on the characters, as Wolverine suits these type of stories, but it did make me wonder.

Whenever the phases end, yeah. But right now, as long as the MCU is a money making machine, I don't see the Mouse letting the MCU finish off its phases...at least not within the next decade.

Now that could change, yeah. Actors can leave, contracts can end, and so on, but right now, I wouldn't be surprised if Feige has a universe mapped out for a long time.

The phases won't end since it would be more impressive for marvel to keep them going for as long as possible rather then giving up on it.

Kinberg and Parker think an X23 solo movie is possible

“I think it’s a real possibility," Kinberg told us when asked about doing a solo X-23 movie.

"Again, the real criteria is always to find a story that can really be unique, distinct, compelling, surprising, bold… all of that. She’s an amazing character, and Dafne does a great job launching the character in the film, so I think there’s a good chance you’ll see something of that kind down the line… at least I hope so.”

Parker: We have been talking a little bit about that and the possibility certainly exists. She's a remarkable actress, I think she did an amazing job, and a lot of the credit for that goes to Jim [Mangold]. It's certainly a rich opportunity, we haven't gotten specific in any way, but I'd love to see more with that character.

I'd hesitate to see an X-23 film with a child lead
If she keeps working and improving her craft, and they do it in a few years when she's an older teen, then maybe

Everyone seems to be praising her performance, I don't see what's the issue with making a film around her.

I wouldn't mind seeing a film revolving X-23 Have Daken as the villain and consider me sold.

I hope they don't rush things with X-23 solo. I wouldn't mind a teen-led film, because I'm tired of Peter Parker being the only young super-hero, who gets attention.

well, I haven't seen it, and thus cannot praise it
from what we hear she's pretty much mute the whole time
add in that 90% of what we have seen from her has been looks that range from "angry" to "really angry"
and last, Directors are probably the biggest factor in getting a good performance out of a kid, so if Mangold doesn't come back, that would be a huge setback

but generally, it's tough for a child actor to carry a whole film, and especially if the character is meant to be a badass barely-talking killing machine... most adult actors can't pull that off

I'm givin' her a chance, but there's a lot more to being a compelling X-23 in a solo film than scowly faces and and nailing the fight choreography

She does speak in the film and does fine with that, but I do agree with your points. But she wouldn't necessarily be the only one carrying the film, as there would be other characters, some of whom are adults (like the extended Kinney family) that could help carry the thing.

But in general yes, I'm just more confident that she would be fine if given the chance, just based off what we've read of her performance.

Seems like that's where we're headed within the coming years of cbm's.

I guess maybe that's my issue too
never been a fan of teen heroes, I grew up on adult X-Men and adult Spider-Man

Kinberg mentioned alpha flight so that is another possibility for her.

She was never in Alpha Flight as far as I know. But if they can make Mystique into Storm's hero and the leader of the X-Men, any crap can happen.

I never understood why they pushed Mystique into the front for First Class then subsequent movies.

for first class that was because as prequel she and beast were only ones that were from OT that could be with xavier and magneto.with DOFP it was approate given her role in comic storyline.Apocalypse was where they went way too far
similar with wolverine In last stand.

I not sure about X-23 film but if they want to do it they will. This is the way it used to be.if character clicks with audence you do more with actor and character.
