Yeah both Logan and Apes deserve recognition at the Oscar's. Both leads should be nominated at the least.

Recently saw this movie. I didn't have any interest in watching this movie at all until I saw the trailers. Previous Wolverine and X-men movies didn't really inspire me to watch this movie in the theater.

An excellent movie, not just a CBM. Great acting, interesting narrative, visually appealing, brutal action. Very different from the other movies in this universe. Well done to all involved.

Another thing I saw upon another rewatch of this and some X2 clips online - the shackles that X-24 places Laura in are similar to those of Stryker's shackles that he puts Mystique in X2 at Alkali Lake. (Before she outsmarts him and escapes)

Probably one of the best, if not the best, superhero movies ever made. Just start to finish this was an amazing movie.

[Batmannerism]

Saw this on TV last night....it is a heartbreaking masterpiece of a film. I rated it 10/10 and would do so again.

What makes it so awful ( and awesome) is that it isn't relentlessly grim. It gives us moments of hope and warmth....and then pulls the rug out.

What I noticed this time was the music, how it's so downbeat, and often quite subtle but always perfect for the action.

Jackman should have got an Oscar nomination, because I rank this performance well above Phoenix as Joker, same with Pat Stewart.

Tbh I can't watch this film often, maybe once a year, because it's so sad. However, it dawned on me last night that Logan was so sick that he probably wouldn't have lived much longer, maybe a year or two, even if he hadn't had that final fight with X 24 - and going out in a blaze of glory was always more his style. As such, I feel a little better about the end.

Still a contender for GOAT cbm, and a million times better than the stuff Marvel's put out this year.
