Just got around to seeing the trailer and it looks great. Vibe is one that seems to be in between the cinematic and Netflix shows. Which is good. It brings hopefully a variety to the Netflix offerings. They don't all have to be like DD or JJ.

I think it'll at least slightly more than that. They're introducing her mom, she's without a job, and Luke will need a friend group like Daredevil with Foggy and Karen to interact with seeing that Pops has a chance of dying in the barbershop shootout, and none of the other casted characters really fit that mold (and they haven't introduced his friend DW from the books), and Claire was Luke's love interest in the original series.

We'll have to see though. I hope she isn't just there as a way to spring Luke into action.

I read an article awhile back where Colter stated Claire would have a significant arc, which to me already says she'll have more to do here than in DD or JJ, especially with her mom being introduced as well. I'm sure she'll get some actual character development, namely focused on what exactly does she do now that she is without a job, what's her purpose? I do think it's important to note that she has already come a long way from the woman who was thrust into the action, who didn't really embrace it, to now choosing to be a part of the action and seemingly encouraging it. And her dynamic with Luke will undoubtedly be different than the one she has with Matt, as they are two totally different men/characters. So yeah, I'm expecting to see some differences, given the surroundings, who she's interacting and what we've seen her go through but at the same time, there are going to be some broad similarities because Claire should still be Claire, regardless of what show she's on.

On another note, I can already tell that I'm *really* gonna love this woman.

Luke and Claire had a romance in the older comics if I'm not mistaken. I wonder if any of that will turn up on the show in some form?

Also I wonder if they'll mention/reference the final battle from TIH (Hulk and Abomination did fight in Harlem after all) any on the show?

He's unbreakable (to a certain degree), and has superhuman strength.
Originally he wasn't much stronger than 10 ton weight limit in weight to lift.

Claire treated Harmony for her injuries after she was attacked by Sabertooth. Back when Sabertooth and Constrictor were Power Man and Iron First villains before Sabertooth went off to be Wolverines archenemy.

Harmony Young is dead. She was last in a Marvel comics presents issue in the early nineties in which she was another victim of the Women in Refrigerators trope.

Demon Darklove possesses people and makes them kill their loved ones. Harmony Young is one of his victims. Ghost Rider and Luke Cage team up to stop him.

Claire was Luke's original love interest/girlfriend in the comics. She eventually broke up with him after getting tired of frequently being kidnapped by his enemies.

I wouldn't mind a romance between the two of them. It was shown that Claire and Matt had moved on in season two of Daredevil. Luke and Jessica's relationship was more open ended. Jessica seemed to hint that in the future their could be a point in which they could have a real relationship but not at the moment.

Claire is the former wife of Bill Foster/Black Goliath. They met in college and got married. Cage and Foster once fought over her.

Claire has never met Daredevil in the comics. She isn't one of the night nurse characters

I wonder if Reva's brother Cameron Connors will make an appearance as he is buddies with Cage.

What's Luke's superpower gimmick?

Unbreakable skin and superhuman strength.

Basically you can shoot, stab, burn, punch or hit him with a blunt object to hurt him.

You can electrocute, poison, drown or suffocate him. He is also vulnerable to internal trauma.

I'm pretty positive Charlie Cox makes an appearance in Luke Cage. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=W8bfQVG3buw around 26:30 Charlie describes a scene he is about to shoot with Rosario Dawson the actress who plays Claire Temple, Charlie explains that Luke Cage and Daredevil season 2 were filmed at the same time and so in this scene Charlie is curious about a cut that was put on Rosario with make up because that doesn't happen anywhere in the Daredevil show so he asks about it and she explains that it's a cut that Claire Temple received previously in the Luke Cage show but of course Cage takes place after Daredevil since she leaves her job at metro General in hells kitchen and makes her way up to harlem

I'd prefer to see Krysten Ritter pop up instead just because, as of yet, DD is separate from the other shows except for Claire's role (which is fine because DD is kind of a solitary character by nature most of the time).
