Summer 2015 is asking for pain imo. What else comes out in July of that year? May is already locked down.

I didn't expect a free-fall, but I didn't think it would do this well. Glad I was wrong.
MOS is a strong film in its own right ,
But it didnt hurt that a lot of the GA didnt know that WWZ was a Zombie film.
Just a little X factor that helped us out .

I saw a ton of reviews online that were positive that weren't even counted in the RT reviews. It's not accurate.
it's funny that when we are possible, all the things we heard and the reviews we read are positive; and when we are not negative, the exact opposite things will happen to u.

poor Joe, surrounded by all the negative forces...

In relation to the Avengers, do you think Thor 2 will have the same bump Ironman 3 had when it hits? Do you think it will be as commercially successful as MOS? Where do you think the WW gross will sit compared to current MOS projection...would love to know your thoughts on this?
Without question Thor :The Dark World
Will not have an Avengers bump as big as IM3.

As of today MOS stands at no.104 all time WW total by the end of this week with domestic and overseas combine it will crack the low 90's or high 80's

It seems that June is no longer such a bad month for movies:

'Man of Steel,' 'Monsters U' Lead Record-Setting June

After setting a new opening weekend record for the month of June, Man of Steel ended the month in the top spot with $248.6 million. It's already out-grossed 2006's Superman Returns ($200 million), and despite a steep second weekend drop it's still in line for a final total around $300 million. Add in strong overseas grosses (it should get to $400 million) and this is a major win for Warner Bros.

:awesome:

did i say something stupid? :p
seriously it is true!

He was acting like the world's greatest box office guru with his 500m prediction n giving everyone a hard time who didn't agree with him. Now that he's proven way off he's pissed off. And now he's acting like he actually predicted it might hit 700m just to cover his base.

When you and I were having our dispute pages and pages ago I said my prediction was 500-600M with a possibility to go to 700M if the WOM was good and the reviews were solid. And this is rich coming from the guru predicting 1B.

I guess I'm naive in the sense that I like to focus on the positive things. You can call a 56% rating for a film disappointing, but to say the reviews sucked ? Nah man, a film with a score of 36 or 26% sucks. The score of Green lantern sucks.
I'm done replying to your posts, this exchange is going no where and it's a waste of my time.
Sorry you were disappointed with the film, hope you enjoy the sequel.

56% is barley a pass and in Rotten Tomatoes standards considered "Rotten". Am I crazy to think that "good" would be something in the 70's and up and not in the mid 50's? That's all I'm saying, not trying to fight with you.

At the end of its run MOS should be no lower than #56 on the all time WW moneymakers list. This is assuming it reaches that threshold of 700M which it is on pace to do. In fact, I think it will be a little higher. :yay:

It's great how this forum went from "I hope it can get at least $600 million for a sequel, will $550 million be enough?" to "$600 million is a lock and $700 million is likely".

If it gets $700 million, my first prediction will be right. :yay:

Edit: The word of mouth is not "poor" it is decent to good. :whatever:
