I just saw 2.34 estimate

I saw it again yesterday at a 3.40 showing it was only about 30-35% full so $2.34 million was around what I expected it would come in at. As this July 4th is a long weekend it's possible there was a mass exodus of people leaving to get out of town. Today should be better.

I am so disappointed that it's off Imax... I was going to bring my brothers and his kids to it this Sunday (4th time for me)... After seeing MOS in Imax (with their newest laser guided Sound System, with surround speakers bigger than your car, and bass that slams you in the chest harder than Zod can), I no longer want to watch it any other way....

I still don't think we'll ever had a year like 2012 as far as movies go, mostly CBM.


1) Marvel's The Avengers... 5 years of anticipation and 5 movies later. Huge 1.5B box office.

2) The Amazing Spider-Man... The revival of the billion dollar Spider-Man franchise. 750M for a reboot, second highest start to a franchise (CBM) beside Spider-Man (2002).

3) The Dark Knight Rises... The conclusion to one of the greatest CBM trilogies of all time. Huge anticipation and still made over 1B in the box office.

4) The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey... The prequel to one of the greatest movie trilogies of all time. Made over 1B in the box office.


Very hard to top that year just on those 4 movies alone...

LOL it was the same game of the last year: because TDKR, despite coming from TDK, did not more than the Avengers, it was a disappointment.

The Avengers beat every single CBM out there. Does that make the Avengers better than every other CBM movie?

I was talking about 2012 in general? Where do I come off as a hater in that post? Learn to read. That post complimented TDKR for passing the 1B marker and called it one of the greatest CBM trilogies of all time.
