Great success!!!

Add $30 million more for the U.S. the same for Japan & at least $25 million for Brazil and we are at $670 or so and it will still take in more in OS markets before its out of theaters. $700 million really isn't in doubt now we'll just have to wait until late September early October for the final tally.

I'm thinking it's got maybe at most another $100M in the tank WW, so it's entirely possible it ends up missing $700M. But it already has passed the sequel worthy amount this weekend by around $20M so it's all good anyway.

No way its only got another $100 million in the tank. The U.S. Brazil and Japan will be at least another $85 million. Unless Japan tanks $700 million is all but locked.

$700M is still possible but to say it's locked is going too far, IMO. It is not locked by any means.

I think that'll end up being a very good guess. I myself initially was predicting a range of around $100M WW less.

To be honest I only came up with that last week when the numbers came in. My initial WW a year ago was probably like $500-600M.

Mos os total 315,600,000 u.s 271,206,000
=586,800,600 in 3 weeks of release

I hope PR does well. So far, in 'Murica, it looks like it's tracking less than Grown Ups 2. :(

What country do you live in????... so I can give it a slang name as you do America. Nevermind...it is probably not even worthy of a slang name.

so MOS will cross the $270m mark this weekend??

YES!!!

and to all the naysayers who said this would flop............

I'll let Disney's newest Princess answer that........

I think it'll end up making just under 700. Like 680-ish

on the safe side i'll go with another $20m US, $25M Japan & $20m Brazil giving it $650m WW .. another $50m from other OS countries is more than possible considering it did about $45m OS in last week .. either way, $700m WW seems very likely now

Ok. My initial guess was in the $550-650M WW range so I wasn't that far off if it ends up at $685M WW like I'm guessing now.

Man of Steel soared past the $300 million overseas milestone. The Superman reboot has now grossed $315.6 million from 62 markets. The top territories for the superhero film include China ($58M), the United Kingdom ($43.6M), Mexico ($20.8M), France ($16.7M), South Korea ($15.1M), and Russia ($10.6M). Man of Steel has grossed $586.8 million worldwide.

Those China numbers. :wow: Me thinks It'll end up with $85 million by the end of its run. If it makes more, then awesome. :woot:

It's UK run has really impressed me... I genuinely thought it would simply pass most people by over here (Henry Cavill or not).

Considering how well it's doing over sea and still holding its own domesticly against heavy competition it will end at 715-750mil WW.

I made a September '12 prediction of $550M W/W... lolz!

But my final prediction a couple of weeks back was $675M, so maybe I'll be right....

Maybe.

From what a guy on youtube tells me, Superman is unusually popular in the UK due to many of the Chris Reeve films playing a lot on the BBC.

Now I have to revise my prediction down again. Le sigh.

$750-$800m ww

It's going over $700 million for sure. It's not only locked, its glued screwed and tattooed!

Yeesh, take it easy. He probably lives in America. I've seen and heard more Americans call it 'Murica than anyone else.
