With that Tuesday estimate, Mos is looking at $1.2M for Wenesday.

It's sad that the most relevant thing to talk about now is BO. I yearned for the days when we were awaiting the trailers.

I know what you mean, but since we've now all seen the film, we can all look forward to MoS 2 and where this new Superman goes from here, but before all that comes how successful MoS 1 is, and I think that's why this thread is so relevant. We can't see whats going on behind closed doors at WB, but we can see these hard financial figures which are going to drive the next Superman project forward.

Also I think once the home release comes around, there'll be a huge amount of new visual stuff to get excited for again. It won't be the dizzying heights of excitment which we all had here in the board in the months up to release, but it will still be awesome :)

I feel like my post count is mirroring the BO. It surged up there with anticipation surrounding MOSs release, kept pretty steady after the release and the discussions that took place about the movie, and now, weeks later, it's beginning a slow crawl as I monitor the slow crawl of the BO.

Excuse my ignorance. Will MoS reach the $600mil mark? How much longer does it have in theaters?

My guess is that it'll hit $600 million around Friday, then Brazil kicks in. It should cross $275 million domestic tonight.

good!!

this should reach $280m by the end of this weekend.

Someone said on here said possibly $281 million by Monday and although they could be spot on I'm hoping for $282 million. Not a big difference, but at this point every million counts.

Just send those millions my way... I'll be sure to add them to the BO count :D

No problem.....is paypal ok?

MOS is definitely THE work of art in history. You haven't seen creative greatness until you've seen MOS. Thank god Nolan didn't try to direct it, or it'd have been slow slow slow bland bland bland and probably not anywhere near as violent as Snyder allowed it to be. Snyder the master of violence.

The rest of the week could breakdown something like this...

Wed- 1.18(-20%)
Thur- 1.12(-5%)
Fri- 1.68(+50%)
Sat- 2.19(+30%)
Sun- 1.64(-25%)

So around $280-281M through this weekend. In all likelihood it will fall below $1M by monday.

MOS has sold 34.5 mill tickets. I think 37-38 mill gets you to 300 dom.

What's the standard baseline for domestic dollars? I always thought it was low until I saw TDKR's domestic, then I was like "oh...that's some dollars."

why is there still countries in the foreign market that says as of 6/30/
by my count its 9 countries that hasn't been updated in mos foreign total why is that?

Imagine how box office magazines would look if they measured the numbers of tickets sold instead of unadjusted grosses.

They wouldn't be breathlessly reporting new records broken every other week, that's for sure.

That's just how BOM rolls. Despite what each individual country says, the overall total is still correct.

I don't think the care how many widgets they sale, they care about how many dollars they make (or rather, earnings).

I like using ticket sales to gauge popularity. That way you don't have to figure out inflation and 3D/2D sales ratio. For example, MOS long ago surpassed BB domestic total. But only recently surpassed ticket sales.
