SO WHERE IS THE THREAD LETS GET IT STARTED WITH A 2BILPREDICTION ww total by the end of its run many are saying this movie will give the avengers 2 a run for its money and some are predicting 1.8-2.3bil for the avengers

Yeah I'm predicting $2 Billion right now (if it's released at the right time). I'm thinking DC may try and avoid the summer altogether and try to lock up the before-christmas date so it can have legs into 2016 (Avatar style). Unless Avatar 2 is being released in christmas time again.

Otherwise it will probably need that early June release.

Avengers 2 will do well, it is an established franchise that everyone will go and watch, even WB execs.

I really wish bale's batman was in this I really don't see anybody out doing him as batman and the new guy will be most likey under a lot of pressure being compared then 56% of rt scores will say its not a traditional batman as they did with mos and Henry cavil was being compared to reeves which is hard to compare to the first superhero movie in the world of course everyone that's over40 will have that as thier #1 instead of something up to date and better movies period
but as for bale as batman like the old saying go don't fix something that just isnt broken

im just saying batman fans will bring a billion alone add superman fans and those who are going to the movies but dont know what they wanna watch and have the kids with them.i know a team up will bring in the big bucks alone with the time of its release which will be hard with the competition in 2015 but some wilo flop like always

May 2015 - Avengers: Age of Ultron
June 2015 - World's Finest
July 2015 - Star Wars

That would give each movie time to breath at the box office, so they aren't feeding off each other.

Disney already has Pirates 5 in July, so unless they move that Star Wars is not gonna be there.

summer is entirely too crowded a movie don't have to do bad numbers just a lost of screens will hurt it

Well they should move Pirates 5 to february 31st at this point but honestly Disney would be foolish not to position SW 7 in the best spot it can find over Pirates and the potential Depp fatigue that's been going around lately?

MoS2/WF in 2015 seems like such a blatant challenge to the avengers 2 it may back-fire on them tbh with all the other 2015 competition.

I still give A2 the edge in total BO for 2015 among all challengers.

I'd watch WF and I'm a Marvel guy.
Avengers has Tony Stark going for it but you are talking the two must iconic superheroes in comics history on screen together for the first time.
The only thing that would have me more excited is Spidey in the Avengers and that isn't going to happen.

They probably both will do really well, but I'm betting Avengers 2 will do much better. I trust Whedon to make a good movie, I'm expecting Snyder and Goyer to make a crappy one. It can only compete with Avengers 2 if it is actually just as good or better.
