It really only sort of stablized it's 3rd week. It's 4th week got the July 4 boost so that relatively average drop was not completely on it's own merits. After that the drops have been near 60%, which is terrible. I really thought it could reach 300, and it would have if it did stabilize to around 50% drops after the 4th week but it couldn't even do that.
That second week was a pretty phenomenal drop. In a nutshell, we were lucky to see any type of stabilization because the hits weren't going to let up with Despicable Me 2 set to bring the world by storm to compete with MU.
The real surprise was WWZ. Zombies/destruction cut into MOS's crowd so all in all, it came down to being a madhouse of competition and riding that roller-coaster, something IM3 didn't have to think to worry about (but that was always going to be #1.)
The 4th did get a boost, which proved WOM was better than what people thought but MOS quickly started its self-battle to reach the numbers we would settle for because this June BO was damn fierce. In the end, I'm happy with the numbers. It did what it pretty much what it was supposed to do, successfully. People just expected the cherry on top.
