I could be wrong about the clothes but I think they were going for this look.

Looks good to me.
Yeah, I see the connection and it looks good to me as well.

peter dresses kinda like I do. I have a jacket like that. I skateboarded with a passion for 3 years and even though my style has changed I still like close fitting jeans. But other than that he just wears skinny jeans, nikes, and a t-shirt. Depending on the wether he either has a zip hoodie on, or a zip hoodie and a brown jacket. It's pretty basic minus the pointless gloves, I really don't see where people have the big problem.

I mean it's not a matter of "what cool kids look like today" as SpiderMarvelite has been saying but its a matter of personality. This Peter looks more like an average kid which automatically makes him relatable, but he's very introverted and shy around people. Someone who doesn't have the best people skills and is ultra aware of it. He doesn't have confidence and he's generally quiet, someone who wouldn't really be accepted in the cutthroat high school environment.

Thats just my two cents, I think it works.

Minus the pants, Peter had the blue-T-over-gray-thermal look going on near the end of the movie, when he finally listens to all of Uncle Ben's final voice mail. I'd put up a picture, but I don't want to stir trouble over a bootleg.

 And someone from the ASM production staff should get a raise for watching TSSM.

I also agree.

with the understanding that "nerdy" and "2012" means something different than "nerdy" and "1962," I think they hit the nail squarely on the head.

My thinking exactly.

The water bugs in my home are bigger than baby shoes. :(

Oh, and I'm probably one of the few that thinks Avi Arad is awesome.

The man who produced Bratz: The Movie is SO awesome!

And let's not forget...his awesomeness showed even more when he said Batman came and went!

He's been a part of some awesome projects, sure. But I don't think they outweigh the monstrosities he's taken part in.

We could say we'd never have the on-screen superheroes of this decade without him, but on the other hand, we could say we'd never have the on-screen superheroes of this decade without him.

How would you know wether or not he's responsible for that?

Well someone is and it's not Webb because he is "not happy with the final product", and Arad being the pandering type would have been more than happy to cut one of the key scenes in order to avoid potential backlash.

EDIT: Also Sony execs stated they were "not happy" with what they got from Amazing Spider-Man and did some last minute changes.

Pretty much. If it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck...
