I'm just still thankful that Nolan chose not just one, but two prominent female characters from Batman's universe that are capable of having their own arcs and not being regulated to simple "love status" for Batman in this film, and the much added bonus is that both these great female characters are being portrayed by two beautiful and extremely talented actresses, who both appear to have chemistry with Bale on screen.

I had feared that Bale's Bruce would exit the franchise with Rachel having been his one and only love interest/supporting (main) female character that he's interacted with.

Yeah, very interesting material. IMO he's dead, but I'll be sitting up and taking notice if Talia references her father, and in what tense. And of course if Bane has ties to the LOS, and if he knew Ras, etc.

Yeah, it seems in the spirit. The LOS restore balance to places where the environment is affected by human decadence and corruption. Humans affect the planet with pollution. If she's working behind the scenes and can't make a big move just yet, and can't kill people to stop them altogether, this could be her way of making a difference.
