Marvel Comics Solicitations For January 2008

I didn't get past that first sentence. What, now?
Judd Winick started Exiles and wrote the best arcs in the series. If you ever want to know what Exiles was like when it was good or just want some good dimension-hopping, What If-style action, you should check out some of Winick's Exiles arcs. My personal favorite is "With an Iron Fist," which I talked about above.
Figures Claremont would add Sage to Exiles. Soon that book is just going to be ''CLAREMONT'S FAVORITE SUPERPOWERED WOMEN TRAVEL AND HOP TIME."

He's already got Psylocke and Kitty Pryde. Introed a version of Rogue, now Sage. Just wait, there's a version of Storm coming up.
God, that's lame. I liked what Bedard was doing, opening the Exiles up to more than just the X-universe with Spider-Man 2099 and Power Princess, but now Claremont's doing a complete about-face and crawling even deeper under the X-rock? Lame. :o

I've haven't read anything good by Judd Winick since Barry Ween.

Winick did something that's the best of something?

somebody say does not compute in a robot voice

Well, Exiles is an exception, I guess. He does really suck now, though.

Claremont wrote out Power Princess for 616 Psylocke to come in and he just recently as of last issue wrote out Spider-Man 2099. He hooked up with some random red headed chick in some dimension and stayed behind. It was lame.

****'s sake, at least return him to his proper time so we can believe the 2099-verse is still chugging along nicely out there. :(

I had this one issue of it, there was a clone of him, and this guy called Packrat. My youthful self thought it was okay

Only reason I still read is because of Blink and Morph, I have a feeling Claremont might be stupid enough to try New Exiles without them.

Morph is dead. That thing in his place is a lie.
I liked Spider-Man 2099. :(
I never had that many issues of Spider-Man 2099, but I kind of followed bits and pieces of the 2099-verse as a whole, where my limited money would allow. I liked the whole atmosphere of it. I was really disappointed in the '2099' 5th-week event Marvel put out a year or two ago. What an awful waste. It had nothing to do with the actual 2099 characters. :o

Okay, so am I the only one here who thinks that the cover to #549 looks MUCH more suited to be the cover of a semi-centurion issue than the cover to #550??

I don't think #550 needs any special cover. Once you get past #100, numbers ending in "12," "25," or "50" shouldn't be a concern anymore. Your at the stage where only your hundred markers are milestones.

I was catching up on my Detective Comics backissues last night and there was a "milestone" issue for #750.

It included more pages for Rucka Batman stories, so I don't know how stupid that could be.

That's what I was thinking. If not Miek, then the Brood. Someone in the Warbound is responsible for the explosion. I'm convinced of that.

I can see it now;

Hulk to Reed, Tony, Stephen, Black Bolt, the U.S. military, and 95% of the population of Manhatten Island; "Oooops! My Bad!" :woot:

Haha, that'd be great. He's probably gonna be on the run again, as usual.

Well, that's good, but a #whatever50 "milestone" is stupid on principle. It's like a married couple still celebrating every 6-month anniversary. :o

Anyone complaining about Rucka's Detective Comics stories doesn't deserve the rights to complain.

Anyone complaining about the stupidity of a #anything50 milestone is putting their right to complain to good use.
