Marvel Now - Part 4

the Silver Surfer is my most anticipated followed by Superior spider-man and the Guardians of the Galaxy crossover. The inhumans I want to be excited for but Fraction is hit or miss with me. I just hope that Black Bolt, Karnak, Gorgon, and the rest of the gang get a lot of focus instead of all new characters.

Same with me regarding Fraction. I love the Inhumans themselves but don't know what to expect of Fraction. I figure I'll give it a thumb through before deciding.

All-New Invaders
I just love Namor.
Silver Surfer
No brainier.
Inhumans
I love these characters, Fraction is hit and miss, but I'm holding out for reviews, maybe it'll be rocking.

I'll try out both All-New Invaders and Silver Surfer. But I hope Invaders isn't as dull as Robinson's Earth 2.

So for All-New Marvel NOW so far we have:

New Inhumans book
New Silver Surfer book
New Hickman Avengers book
All-New Invaders
New She-Hulk book
X-Factor relaunch
Thunderbolts relaunch
Captain Marvel relaunch
GotG/ANXM crossover event
Superior Spider-Man event
Captain America event

For me it's really only the new Silver Surfer book and not because it's Dan Slott. I'd read a Surfer book by anyone at this point. If done right, the title has insane amounts of potential. If you think I'm crazy, go read the Jim Starlin and Ron Marz stuff from back in the day.

Other than Surfer, the other 2 are books that I'm already reading.

I liked all of 90's Surfer. Was probably their best book back then.

I actually enjoyed the Steve Engleheart issues with Mantis, I think they were written by Steve.

Highlighted the ones I know I'll check out. I'm a little hesitant to see what the new version of X-Factor will be like, since I loved what PAD did with it, but I've got to be open minded.

I'm betting...new Ant-Man ongoing...

Zeb Wells being on it makes me think it's going to be a mini.

EDIT: Moonknight? I would think Silver Sable but she died in Ends of the Earth and no indications that they're bringing her back soon.

That would be at the X-Men panel. This is at the Superior Spider-Man & Friends panel.

I would be surprised to see a Ant-Man ongoing. I would be happy to see one but surprised. I always figured if Ant-Man is going to get an ongoing comic it would probably be after the movie comes out and if the film is very popular/successful.

I heard people say its probably a Black Widow ongoing.

Huh? They start the ongoing a year or two years out from when their movie releases to increase awareness among fans ahead of the movie. See Guardians of the Galaxy and Inhumans.

If there is a Ant-Man ongoing with Lang then I think FF will probably be ending with She-Hulk getting an ongoing and a relaunch/push of the Inhumans.

I hope Atonement for Lang would mean him finally growing a pair and doing something worst to Doctor Doom than just vandalizing his art for killing his daughter.

Atonement would have to be related to Pym. That said, the book should be a Hank Pym/Scott Lang bromance book since that's how the movie is going to be (except Pym is old in the movie).

I'm really bored of atonement as a theme for Hank Pym. He's been atoning for Ultron and hitting Jan for 30 years now.

Atonement as a theme for the Black Widow, on the other hand, would be refreshing and new, since she's never shown the tiniest ounce of guilt about being an assassin, torturer, and basically every other terrible thing we expect spies to be.

Spies atoning for past sins is kind of old hat.

Spies genuinely atoning isn't. Most stories seem to assume that "atoning" just means switching sides and doing all the same terrible crap for the alleged "good guys" instead. How about, you know, not killing and torturing people altogether?

Yeah, he's becoming another Jean Grey.
