Marvel Now - Part 4

Idie's uninteresting
But I've been digging Quire, Broo, and Kid Gladiator (really hoping those latter two have supporting roles)
And I feel like Evan has tons of story potential, so hopefully they flesh him out finally

Yeah, I'm cool with those four. And I'll admit, Eye Boy is kinda growing on me since we've seen an extension of his powers.

Yeah, the furture version of him was really cool too
If they can just find him a better code name, he'll be set

Either that or make him and "Gold Balls" a new buddy pair, they could try to be heroes for hire, lol

Quentin is the best of that bunch. I really want to see he and Hellion team up

Since day one I thought he and Hellion could be interesting. If anything, I could see them buddying at first but eventually becoming rivals. Likely with Quentin being the good guy and Hellion being the bad of the duo.

I don't even remember Magneto taking as much heat when he was put in charge of the New Mutants as Cyclops is.

Xavier and Cable both turned their kid students into soldiers. I think I remember Moira Mactaggert cursing out Charles for it as well.

I wish Marvel would bring the X-Men back together and put some else in charge rather than Cyclops and Wolverine.

I think the only one that really opposed Magneto leading the New Mutants was Jean. Everyone else was either fine with it or had no real opinion

"Infamous"
.
.
A new El Guapo comic from Marvel?!

It would be cool if Marvel got the license to Sony's IP to create a book about Cole in the MU

actually not many were for it…The original X-men were in X-Factor and weren't fond of the choice. Im pretty sure Storm and Wolverine were against it but Rogue reminded them of her past.

I'll definitely check it out, but if it doesn't impress me by the end of the first arc I'll drop it. I collect too many books as it is, and I still need to make room for that weekly Batman title coming out.

1) I love that Hickman calls out how stupid the PERFECT JUMPING ON POINT crap is with this .NOW stuff.

2) This all sounds very interesting, but I hate that Avengers and New Avengers will start merging somehow. I don't care to read Avengers, but I love the New Avengers. I'll continue with it for now, but if they start merging too much I might drop it.

Bwahahahahahaha!!!!!!

I love how Brevoort had to jump in for damage control after that statement.  :woot::woot:

You are right about Wolverine, but Storm, wasn't against him. She actually helped Mags out; as leader she gave him advice and not the stink eye. The rest of the Xmem just rolled with it

The O5 were more of a didn't have a real opinion. Jean was outraged that they weren't more upset about Magneto running the school, nor did they do anything about it. She's the reason X-factor even started bc she wanted them to step up end take an active role in training the young future of mutant kind bc she didn't trust Magneto. The other 4 were all pretty much retired or inactive and living normal lives at that point and didn't show much concern in Magneto's role in the school

Which Avengers book is actually worth picking up right now? I had to drop them for financial issues, but now I wanna get back into them, yet have no clue which is actually worth the trouble. I've been having an eye on Avengers AI for a bit now, though...

Avengers AI hasn't really hit its stride for me yet. I like Pym, Vision and Victor. Doombot is comic relief and Monica Chang is Sam Humphries Mary Sue. The Robot Diamond, Aleix stuff doesn't really interest me that much but the book has potential.

Sales are really bad aren't they? I can't imagine it lasting all that long.

Avengers AI started off with figures of 68,130 in July and by October sales of 23,146.

I'm not too surprised the title has been haemorrhaging readers as like I've said Humphries hasn't created much to keep you reading. It doesn't help that you have a plot similar to the Secret Avengers from last year.

It'll get cancelled and relaunched with a new #1 next year. Marvel loves those temporary sales boosts that #1s bring
