Right, but they're the stupid masses. We're the vocal minority, dude. I was referring to the general consensus on these boards.
When they are, they're pretty colossally bad, though. Plus, Spider-Man was already in the Avengers. Can that really be counted as Bendis' idea? Cap's speech to Peter was nice, but it turned out to be just lip-service in practice, since Spider-Man still acts like a complete ****** and doesn't live up to Cap's faith in him at all in NA. Although I guess that'd fall more into the execution category.
He's been a reservist for forever, he gets called in whenever the Avengers gather up all their members, and he's participated in a few Avengers missions. He wasn't a hugely important member or anything, but he had an Avengers identicard. That's why I found all the *****ing over Spider-Man being in the New Avengers pretty silly. He's already an Avenger.
Don't pass out, but I'm about to compliment him.
His IDEAS are good. He's got some very fresh takes on old ideas.
However, his follow through SUCKS. The dialogue, pacing, storylines and fight scenes are HORRIBLE.
He would make a better editor or co-writer.
That's kind of why I hope Bendis gets the EIC chair if/when Quesada leaves.
Thats Jeph Loeb's job anyway.
