Marvel vs Capcom 2 on XBLA and PSN

Went ahead and bought it...hopefully it's worth it.

I'll probably download this tonight.

Been testing it out in the few scant moments my Xbox does work.

1) Controls where less horrible than I expected. Then again, I'm not pulling out infinites or anything like that. But I could generally get my f,d, df motions. But the default settings with the bumps as assist wasn't doing it for me. I switched to the triggers. Sometimes I missed my hypermove cue, though.

2) In my brother's flat HD monitor I HAD to at least pick crisp. The pixels where stronger than I expected.

3)Online was quite accessible. I was quickly in a game that my ailing Xbox ruined. And that game was quite fast.

4) If I had any choice I'd be playing it online as we speak.

5) What is up with the 1 player mode always putting Omega Red and Colossus first? There's something...unrandomy about it.

This is going to take some getting used to again but I am loving it. But man oh man next Wednesday can not get here fast enough

Loving the game as always and so far online is running smooth for me.

I think I played this game for like 5 hours today. Awesome. Did you guys see all the setting we can choose from now? It took my like an hour or so just to adjust all every little thing so the game played just right. They really let us control the way the game plays so that it fits our style.

How long do we have to wait for the PS3 version again?

August 13.

I just downloaded it. Awesome, brings back memories.

I've been using Iron Man, Hulk and Gambit (my little preview of MUA 2), I've been playing a little but mostly training, I've really didn't play with Hulk all that much when I had it for my Dreamcast.

I still have the PS2 copy, but the damn thing only works sometimes.

Downloaded it last night, and I played it a bit on the Practice mode. It's definitely alot more fun, and doesn't feel as technical as SFIV. However, I'll need to work on my skills more before I go online, otherwise I'll get beat all over the place.

I...barely remember playing this game when I was a kid. Sorta.

But I've just jumped into SFIV, and I'm thinking about trying this one out.

Btw, Pat...I've got bananna hands. My hand is far too unreliable with the d-pad controller for me to be able to pull off the moves precisely. Atleast, the way I want. I think what bothers me is that the 360 d-pad is entirely connected. Whereas the PS3 up is it's own button, left is it's own, right is it's and down is it's own.

Again, I have...freakisly large hands, so that's why I go with the PS3 if I'm going with a fighting game.

man, i'm pissed the ps3 version isn't out yet.
But can we play with the PS2 version?
Guys, I'm new with this online play thing, but I'd love to fight you guys. How does it work? Could anyone teach me?

I use MadCatz's SFIV fightpad for MvC2, and it works rather well. I do agree that 360's d-pad really does suck.

Why are there two wolverines?
When Capcom first got the Marvel liscense with X-men: Children of the Atom, Wolverine in the comics had adamantium and thats how he created in the game. In the mid 90s, he lost that and reverted to bone claws. I cant remember which game, (I think maybe MSH VS SF), Capcom reflected that by having Wolverine use bone claws. They altered his powerset, gave him more range, made him slightly faster and stronger but at the same time lowered his defenses so he took more damage. When MuA2 came along, Capcom intended to use every character they had created in all of their past Marvel games and since there were 2 different versions of Wolverine, they decided to use both instead of combining them into 1 character

And I'm gonna change my opinion on which controller has the best D-pad. I'm going with the PS3 now. I was going back and forth between my 360 and PS3. And the D-pad on the PS3 is more responsive.

I think it's no secret that PS3 has better d-pad than 360, and I heard that it is because Sony & Nintendo patented their d-pad design, but then again I heard Microsoft came out with a better d-pad controller in Europe recently, so I'm not sure what the story is.

OK, so now where's Marvel v. Capcom 3 already?!

They said if we want it to talk about it... so let's talk!

How awesome would it be to have all the modern characters in there?? SFIV style 2.5-D?? 100+ characters??? Who would you wanna see show up...?

it's alright. Most people end up coming to that conclusion. Sucks that the PS3 version is delayed. I have no idea when I will be able to play it as that is right around the time I plan on moving

I downloaded it yesterday, it's hard but really fun. I was shocked at how fast it took to download, I thought it was going to be way longer. It took like 5 minutes.
