Capcom Marvel vs. Capcom 3

That most certainly does not seal the deal for me.

Thanks for wasting a spot on Akuma, Capcom. What a waste.

Off to watch Taskmaster's video.

So MM doesn't get in because "he offers nothing unique" but Akuma who has not one, but two hypers slightly similar to another character gets in? Makes perfect sense to me.

Oh and Capcom if Frank isn't in then why bother keeping his silhouette around? It only takes 10-15 minutes to edit him out. Not only is he on the comic book cover, but he's also on the European pre-order bonus T-shirt. That's just pure false advertisement.

Yeah Capcom has dropped the ball on this roster. Some of their choices are poor.

Well, just out of curiosity, has it actually been said that Megaman isn't in? Seems weird to me that he wouldn't be; I just figured he'd end up being a last minute reveal or something. Not that it matters much to me, only about three things from that franchise are worth anything to me, and one is already in.

Eh. The roster up until Akuma and Sentinel was pretty damn good. I'd just remove them and put Frank and Megaman in their place.

Not to me. Taskmaster looks boring. all of Capcom looks boring minus Zero, Modok looks lame and not really a fan of Phoenix/Jean Grey when you they could have used Ms. Marvel.

Capcom's side minus Nathan Spencer is pretty much it's all stars though, so you can't really change that. MODOK actually is apparently a beast if used correctly, and Jean has been a fan want long before Ms. Marvel.

Wow, I actually think Capcom's roster is pretty good outside a couple of duds.

Like I said most of Capcom's roster is it's all star characters and then one of their supporting characters. A majority of Capcom's major popular series are all represented. Only ones missing are Phoenix Wright and Dead Rising really.

It hasn't been said that he's not in, but I'm starting to lose hope.

From what I'm hearing Nitsuma said Arthur wasn't in TVC because Volnutt was already in and he apparently has something against Classic MM.

Hang it up folks. This review page confirms a list of 36 playable characters. No one else left except Hsien Ko and Sentinel.

What a lackluster 4 last reveals.

Yeah, that's it. I want answers. I'm normally the type of guy who justs shrugs it off when a character I want doesn't make it, but in this case I feel a little rage for Frank's exclusion is justified. Unlike MM he's had more hints to him being in.

I'm more pissed that didn't say he wasn't in earlier rather than continuing to string fans along. Saying he was out would be no different than saying other popular characters like Gambit and Ghost Rider were out.

Wow Capcom way to go. Well at least the big 3 Hulk and Spidey are in it. But man, this roster could have been truly epic.

I don't think I'll ever understand this Frank love. I understand he was good in TVC, but damn, what a boring character to care so much about being in the game :/

At least he FIGHTS in his games. I've never got the people upset that Phoenix Wright isn't in the game. How do you make a lawyer fight when he's not a damn Hulk?

Eh, he's a better character, and you can make anyone fit into a fighting game with enough imagination.

He's the most prominent character of an very popular/successful franchise. Naturally, in a Capcom crossover, people would like representation.

I guess for me it's because while I do enjoy the over the top nature of the VS games, it's nice to have an average Joe like you and me amongst all of the lasers, aliens, robots, cyborgs, gods and goddesses, and so on. Guys like Chris and Haggar are close to this, but Frank West is even more so than they are. He's not armed to the teeth with guns or able to leap in the air 30 feet with you in his arms and then piledrive you to the pavement. He's just an average Joe photojournalist who happened to end up in the middle of a huge zombie outbreak.

To some it sound BORING to have normal everyday characters on the roster, but I like characters like that.

I'm calling it now Jill and Shuma will be joined by Megaman and Frank as DLC characters.

Eh, I don't know how much of an average joe he really is (I'm pretty sure he's suppose to be some kind of hardcore, tough as nails kind of guy from what I remember in the first game), but I'm more concerned with characters I enjoy getting in than representing franchises. Of course, enjoyment varies, but Frank is such a generic character with little to no real characterization it surprises me that he's apparently become popular enough to be in demand.

But shouldn't it be a capcom character and Marvel character? I see Frank and a random Marvel character. I don't think Mega Man get in at all. I'm done hoping for him. If Capcom doesn't have enough sense to put in the opening roster then I doubt he shows up. I don't know what Seth and his people were thinking.
