Capcom Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Honestly, given the choice between Frank and Megaman, put in Megaman. The game feels odd with 2 popular side characters of his and no him.

Just as long as his DLC Partner isn't a returning MvC2 Vet/X-Man. I'm game.

Well, Frank seems more likely than Mega Man. Silhouettes of Frank since day one and not even a sign of Mega Man Classic content? I'd say Frank will get in.

Y'know Ryu may be the face of SF, but he just got screwed big time here. Considering Akuma does everything he does along with some extra stuff.

Akuma's inclusion in COTA really doesn't justify him making it here. Why didn't they make him his own character in MVC1 instead of having Ryu change into him? Hell that's what they should have done here. Along with Ken. That would have probably satisfied the people who were so hellbent on Ken and Akuma getting in.

If Akuma got in simply because he was the first Capcom character to crossover in a Marvel game, then in that case Cyclops should have got in simply because of the X-menvSF intro. The very first vs game.

y'know........I'm kinda disappointed that the Spidey universe only gets one rep in the game, while the X-men get.......what.........5 or 6..........

I was hoping we'd get to see some Spidey characters who have yet to appear in a fighting game, like a villain besides Venom or even one of the Spider-women.........

The Official Facebook just put this up to tease an upcoming reveal. Hmm, that CAN'T be Taskmaster, Hsien Ko, Akuma, or Sentinel.
This isn't Hsien-Ko or Sentinel... just saying :o

Obviously Shocker!

No just kidding. But kinda looks like him though.

First off, the guy that said Mega Man brings nothing new to the table was the one who admitted to being a huge troll...so I'm sure we'll see him as dlc down the road.

Also, the roster has it's characters I like and dislike, but overall, this is a hugely diverse and interesting cast, where they didn't just fall back on the big names we see every time, and I respect that.

Plus it's easy to add extra slots to the game via dlc or patches, so I'm sure we'll see a rather healthy dlc additions. Capcom wouldn't have done the poll if they didn't think there was money to be made there, and as we all know, Capcom loves their money.

And then some time down the line we'll get a super version with the dlc intact.

Man, I cant wait to open this game day one, and start my team as Zero, Tron and Mega-Ma-...

Oh wait.

wow Taskmaster looks freakin amazing!!!!!!!!!! cant wait for this damn game!!

Seriously, whatever happened to saving the best for last? Now I'm trying to remember a certain other game that had a disappointing final reveal. Damn! What was it?

Smash Brothers Brawl saved all their clone characters for last. I think Wolf was actually the last person to be revealed for that game.

Maybe, but I know there was something else. Funny that I remember the sheer disappointment of the occurrence but not what it was for now.

Capcom succeeded in making hype with the reveal, but you always save some of the best for last for renewal in hype after it's been diminishing over the course of waiting for its release. Some games I've hyped the crap out of but lost all excitement by the time they were released. Rare to feel excitement upon game release because of such. This looks to be another.

To be honest even though I'm hating on Akuma now he'll probably replace Ryu when I want to play him.

And I was always going to give Tasky a shot.

You can't imagine how geeked out I would have been if the final reveal would've been Green Goblin or Shocker.

Yea I never play as Akuma but I think I will this time around also Tasky =:awesome:

In all honesty I think this roster could and should have done more. TvC felt more diverse IMO. No Onimusha or Rival Schools rep not to mention one too many reps for other certain franchises, or lack of (Mega Man). But knowing Capcom and their 20 year old milking technique, there will be more DLC characters for sure.

I just wish we didn't have two shotos is all. I mean I like Ryu, Ken, and Akuma, but once you have one of them, you really don't need any of the others.

TvC had 3 shotos as well if you take the literal game playstyle definition of shoto. (Ryu, Batsu, and Morrigan)

Well, they WANTED Cyclopse. Marvel refused. But following the logic that Akuma is in because of his appearance in Children of the Atom, I vote we put in Anita, since she was in Marvel Super Heroes.

And then we match her with Anita Blake, a vampire hunter and necromancer who is also called Anita. Anita vs Anita!

(yeah, I know.)

Well we have 36 on disc and there are 42 spots on the select screen. This leads me to believe that there will be 6 DLC characters including Jill and Shuma. That leaves four more characters to reveal for DLC.My thinking is

Capcom
Frank West(Perhaps they needed more time to work on him so they just decided to make him DLC.)
Mega Man

Marvel is a bit harder to predict but I'm guessing A spider-man villain(Likely Venom.) and the second one is way harder to predict.

Anita Blake is the property of Laurell K. Hamilton. Marvel just published some comics starring the character.

Maybe back in Street Fighter 2 where Ken and Ryu played exactly the same...

But Ken/Ryu play nothing alike now a days, with the exception of the button inputs being similar for similar moves.

For the players that are using the PS3 controller, Analog or d-pad?
