Capcom Marvel vs. Capcom 3

I'd rather have her than Black Widow on Steve's team, but then she and Valkyrie might be a little power overload.

I think Black Widow makes more sense on Steve's team than She-Hulk would. Out of the Avengers title, I think the place I can see her in the most is Academy. If not there than the main Avengers

Spidey's going to be in. One of the silhouettes is the "iconic" head scratching pose he does in all of Capcom's Marvel games.

The head guy for MvC3 also confirmed there's no right issues for MvC3 which is why Punisher was considered. If Punisher could of gotten in, then Spidey DEFINITELY can. Also, Activision owns the rights to do solo X-Men & Spidey games, yet Wolverine is in the game.

THEY COULD OF HAD THE PUNISHER!!! AND THEY DECIDED NOT TO!!!!!!!!!

I'm getting less and less excited for this game. It doesn't help the way their dragging out telling, and showing us Spidey.

Does it really matter? We already know he's in.

Yes. It's annoying. And no matter how much we think we know, it's still nice to know for sure. Plus, I'd be more excited for this game seeing him in action. Not to mention if we know, why do they have to drag him out?

The Punisher wasn't considered because Capcom wanted representatives from the Resident Evil/Biohazard and Devil May Cry franchises, which are both very heavy in gun usage.

Spidey's a shoo-in. Everyone got blue-balled over how long Capcom took to announce 3rd Strike characters in Super IV, and we didn't get confirmation until the game was practically out. But they were still in. Real question is if Venom's the only other Spideyverse character included, like last time.

If you know, why do you need them to tell you?
LOL...the way people keep going on about it, it would be funny if Capcom didnt put him in. Like seriously....the people waiting on Nova and Nightcrawler have more to worry about.

Eh, **** the Punisher. There, I said it.
I also dont care to play as him in any game other than his own. Didnt care when he was left out of MuA, and wont care to not see him here. There are other more interesting characters out there

I hope they go with Doctor Octopus or the Green Goblin or the Vulture instead of Venom this time. Anyone from Spider-Man's rogues gallery besides Venom. He's so vastly overrepresented in video games compared to the rest of Spider-Man's enemies.

I imagine the conversation went something like this:

Marketing Exec #1 - "Hey, we're ready for the first preview of the game. I'm thinking Ryu, Iron Man, Dante, Spider-Man-"
Marketing Exec #2 - "Naw, we don't need to spoil Spider-Man. Everyone knows he's gonna be the game. Let's show them someone they're not expecting."
Marketing Exec #1 - "Really? You don't think there will be some fanboys out there who will freak and think we left him out?"
Marketing Exec # 2 - "No one's that stupid."

Well, in fairness, who did they really show in that initial trailer in Spider-Man's place that was so surprising? Iron Man? The Hulk? Wolverine? I'm sure no one expected them... ;)

Dante and Deadpool maybe? I don't know, DP was probably expected since the damn character is everywhere nowadays it seems (my goodness, where a cameo role in a crappy Wolverine film can get you nowadays 0_o), but Dante was less a sure thing maybe

Eh, Thor and Amaterasu were the only genuine surprises/sighs of relief I've noticed so far. Thor, despite being an integral part of the Marvel universe, didn't make it into previous MvC games, and Amaterasu is certainly more of a cult favorite than a super-popular character. The rest of the characters so far either have clear reasons (i.e. Super-Skrull as a one-slot stand-in for the entire FF) or were obviously going to be included because of their popularity.

+1

ock would be the best. gobby or electro or scorpion wouldnt be bad either. vulture could be interesting gameplay wise, utilizing jump->dive bomb combos.

I guess I'd rather her be there than anywhere at all. But Black Widow's recent push bores me to tears. She seems extremely out of place in the Avengers to me and always will.

She was leading for a while in the '90s when the Black Knight was actually leading (but Black Widow was really leading (but the Black Knight was really leading 4 realz)).

Oh, I'm aware her Avengers history is rich, she still is probably Marvel's most boring female character.

Gameplaywise, I think Green Goblin would be quite...I don't know, difficult. But I'd still want him in the game. Doc Ock though would fit the game perfectly I think.

I think Spider-Man deserves at least one villain from his rogue in the game. I'd go with Doc Ock then.
