Capcom Marvel vs. Capcom 3

He should have the freaking Uni-beam. I never liked that he summons a giant gun.

Logic aside, the Photon Cannon special attack itself is not very good... because theres so much delay from the time u use it to the time it actually fires so your opoonent always sees it coming

yeah, but if you do it right, there ain't s**t they can do about it either.

Yea, if they block, at least a little of their life gets cut off....

but they could jump up and over you or something.

I don't like it too. Looks way too plastic for me. And while I know it's supposed to be flashy, I think it's flashy to the point it becomes ridiculous. I hope the gameplay makes up for it

Several gameplay screens have been to IGN. Im not going to post them here bc they are huge. You can find them here

The proton cannon again? that blows, this gives me no hope that they're going to give him proper repulsor rays, instead we'll be getting that Jubilee rainbow light show from the previous game.

Graphics look great though.

I was hoping the veteran characters would get new moves, too...I mean its still possible & all, but s*#@, this isn't SNK afterall, this is Capcom. They are known for not giving their characters new moves...rather bigger versions of their old moves (SSFIV).

Weel, if they were given new moves, we would have to learn the characters all over again.

Not saying thats a bad thing... but it IS MVC3, not some other title...so it at least needs to feel like the first two games imo

Its been an eternity since MvC2's initial release...throw us a bone and give these guys some new moves.

I'm surprised with the negative reception of the Proton Cannon comeback. I thought fans would like it.

I did. I always loved that huge weapon coming out of nowhere.

It's just too pointless and silly for Iron Man, for me. I mean, the old giant weapon appearing out of nowhere trick is more of a Deadpool thing, not an Iron Man one. Especially when you consider that he is a weapon with guns built into his armour.

If you're opposed to silly, then this game probably isn't going to be for you.

I'm not opposed to silly. But i'm opposed to things that are out of character. Why the hell would Iron Man need a gun? He is a frickin gun!

You can have over the top, silly things with characters like Deadpool, because it suits their character.

Haha, this is literally what I was thinking with all that. People complaining that it's too flashy, ridiculous, and silly can't have played the previous games

This is how they've portrayed Iron Man 1995. They will obviously make some tweaks and adjustments, but I think they will try to keep the returnign characters as consistent as possible with previous iterations so gamers are familiar with what they've played before

And everythign is supposed to be silly and over the top, not just for a character like Deadpool. Its what the franchise became best known as and they arent going to make some characters realistic and the rest flashy. Thats not how it works

Ehhh well when i want to play as Iron Man or Captain America i want to play as Iron Man or Captain America... not some ridiculous version of themselves that are out of character.

I'm nit picking really. But honestly, Iron Man having a gun is just too stupid IMO.

Anyone else remember how the Capcom characters (specifically the Street Fighters) were (in a competitive sense, gameplay-wise) outclassed compared to the Marvel side? All the top-tier characters were Marvel (Cable, Juggernaut, Sentinel, Magneto, Iceman...hmm...X-Men, specifically) while the bottom side of the tierlist favored mostly Capcom?

Well the 90s was like, the era of the X-Men, so them being super powerful was simply because they were the most popular.

That sucked for me. All I wanted was to play with the Capcom characters and they weren't nearly equals to a number of the Marvel characters.

Yea but I wanted him to have a new Moveset/Hypers.... Iron Man is the one character in the MU that's consistantly changes.. his powers rely on Technology and technology is always changing so is Iron Man...I wanted him to be updated
