[FONT=&quot]With the recent reveal of two returning characters—Ghost n’ Goblins‘ Firebrand and Doctor Strange’s Dormammu—joining the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infiniteplayer roster, Marvel is using another variant comic cover to announce a character.


 Marvel’s upcoming variant issue #4 for The Defenders revealed Ghost Rider, the fire demon with a need for speed, will be playable in Infinite. The official Marvel vs. Capcom Twitter shared the cover and added more of the fighter will be shown off at Gamescom on August 22nd.

While it’s easy to assume chains and fire will be incorporated into Ghost Rider’s attack arsenal, fans will have to wait until actual footage is shown during the gaming event to see how he’ll stack up against the current cast of characters. Previously, the new fighters were announced through gameplay trailers, giving an in-depth look at how they will possibly fit into the Infinite group. However, the Marvel variant covers have been a departure, only teasing the character, which is most likely a tactic to get players excited for the Gamescom coverage.


 With Ghost Rider, the current roster is 31, but there’s still time for more characters to be announced before the game’s launch. Alongside the variant cover reveal for Firebrand and Dormammu, the Mighty Thor #22 art featured the female version of Thor, Jane Foster, which has led fans to speculate that either she or an alternate skin for Thor will be announced down the line. yes he was I have two list's and one of them is on page 2 page #47 (<< Click there to see. )of this thread where I posted this and domamu was listed as well there.

and that list also has Death on it, which is where I remember seeing the name.

it's looking like that list is being proven accurate, so I assume Death will be on the roster, too.

this game better have some kick-ass DLC characters cuz I still find the initial roster rather underwhelming.

I think it's just half and half the other prior was looking accurate too. prior to this. BTW and this is a little of topic. I hope you been keeping up withe legend of heroes news they said they are bring 1 and 2 port wise to the ps4 .they are also thinking of bring ing their games and long with Ys series to the switch. But that might be later .

Capcom has released the full story trailer and new screenshots for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
The story mode trailer highlights never-before-seen elements of the story mode, and expands upon the key plot points, with heroes from both the Marvel and Capcom universes coming together in an attempt to stop Ultron Sigma from infecting all biological life in the newly merged worlds.
Additional information and gameplay of recently confirmed playable characters Jedah, Dormammu, Firebrand, and Ghost Rider will be available next week at Gamescom 2017. They bring the final roster at launch up to 30 characters, with more post launch characters to be announced in the future.
Capcom also provided the following overview of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite‘s gameplay modes:




Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will provide memorable experiences and infinite gameplay possibilities for players of all skill levels. The next evolution of the popular action-fighting series will arrive action-packed at launch, with a variety of accessible single player and multiplayer offerings including:
Offline Modes and Features:

  • Story – puts players at the center of a fierce battle as heroes from both universes come together to stop Ultron Sigma, the combined form of two robotic villains.
  • Arcade – recreates the classic arcade experience. Keep winning to move forward and confront the final boss in an epic showdown of skills.
  • Mission – players can do various tutorial missions, or try their hand at advanced character-specific challenges.
  • Training – set up a training area with various parameters and hone skills to improve fighting abilities.
  • Vs. Player 2 – go head-to-head against another player locally.
  • Vs. CPU – play solo against an AI-controlled opponent.
  • Collection – the Dr. Light Database contains numerous unlockable items, including cut scenes from the story mode, character/stage information, concept artwork and character/stage audio tracks.
Online Modes and Features:

  • Ranked Match – battle other players online to advance in the rankings.
  • Casual Match – battle other players online without the results affecting the rankings.
  • Beginners League – a special league fought between players of Rank 14 or lower.
  • Lobby – search for or create a lobby where up to 8 players can engage in simultaneous player-vs-player matches.
  • Rankings – view the rankings of players from all over the world.
  • Replay Settings – configure replay settings and view replays.
All of the action in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite takes place in new but familiar settings, as famous locations from the Marvel and Capcom universes fuse together as part of Ultron Sigma’s nefarious plot. Imagined and created through a shared vision between the two companies, the game will feature free-form 2v2 team battles and the ability to harness the power of one of six game-changing Infinity Stones, further deepening the customized gameplay by allowing players to equip and unleash elemental in-game powers during battle.

Game Informer says the Monster Hunter shows up in the bits they played, and it's the female version.

I also saw one interesting scene in Valkanda between Ryu, The Hulk, and Black Panther, the latter of which holds an Infinity Stone. They’re joined by a monster hunter in what looks like a Rathalos armor set. The character was part of a roster leak earlier in the year, but when I asked Capcom about her potential inclusion as DLC, they said they had nothing to announce.

The serious tone of the story makes this game look ridiculous. I just want chaotic colourful arcade action

and lots of X-men characters :oldrazz:
 
Its unfortunate that Marvel is just sitting on the X-men IP and wont even license it out to another developer. It sucks that the last console game was that horrible X-men Destiny. We deserve better
 
X-Men is the red headed stepchild of Marvel now. And the Fantastic Four is the kid they lost in the custody battle but don't even try to get visitation rights for.
 
I have every Capcom made Marvel game to date and I can't wait to pick up this pre order!

oh yeah mutant Apocalypse was fun. hmm I don't remember too much of war ofthe gem but i know i played it. I most like didn't finish that. It's like that one zelda game I didn't finish. I have some images for marvel heroes omega defenders content that's coming with some other that x-men villain's related and magik with new costume with some sheild agents. the latter ones aren't really known or feathered characters.

Only use X-Men on that game. Bring me info on Magneto, Rogue, Emma, Cable, Juggernaut, etc you're the man!
 
They had to fix Chin Li's face after fan backlash. Its a shame they could not over haul all the awful character designs.

Are there really only 4 female characters in this game??

why just her face was the only important thing, that I keep seeing in news out lets and "who ever the fans were,": when the rest needed to be set up better as well I don't know.

They are still adding some characters after launch as dlc like Black Panther. So it's hard to say only 4 females . We'll see what happens .
