I think any exclusivity is a mistake. It only takes one game to be missing from a franchise to dull my interest a bit next time out. It is interesting though how Sony are doing well on major franchise beat'em up exclusives.

it would be another major get for Sony, and yet another fighting game NOT coming to the X1.

if the game turns out to be exclusive and turns out great and doesn't repeat the mistakes of SF V, then it is the type of exclusive to get me interested in the PS4 again.

However, I once thought that about SF V ( it was a major reason why I stuck with PS4 ).

so, we'll have to see how it turns out. if this is even true, of course.

After Street Fighter V's dismal sales, it would seem insane for it to be exclusive.

SFV being exclusive isnt its problem. Its how they launched it and the post-DLC pricing which killed its buzz. The game could have came on the XB1, and that wouldnt have changed how it was percieved bc Capcom screwed it up. That really is independent of their partnership with Sony to keep it on the PS4

SFV being exclusive wasn't the main problem. but it was just one more "negative mark" against the game.

so, you combine the exclusivity with the bare-bones content at launch plus the other issues, it all added up towards the negative perception/reaction to the game.

and since SFV was a PS4 exclusive, and Sony helped to fund its development, that also doesn't look that good for Sony. because even with Sony's funds and help, it still had a disastrous launch.

so, in the end, whether it was Sony's fault or Capcom's fault, it didn't make the game look very good.

It wasn't the only problem, but it was a problem. Especially when you consider how split the communities were last gen in terms of fighting games.

The crossover between the Xbox and the PC would make it worth it. Unlike the attempts with Playstation and the PC, the Xbox makes it much easier, and the controller crossover is much better. Also the Xbox has a much better internet connection. Kind of important with fighters.

I own an Xbox One and a PS4. And while I buy most of my games on the PS4, the Xbox is the one I use for online friendly games.

The reason it might be exclusive is that Capcom has been hurting for money recently, so the theory is that if a high profile game like MVC were to be made, it'd require outside funding like from Sony.

Oh yeah, I'm starting to remember the shameful - and obvious - lies. If I go back in this thread I'll probably find myself raging about it. I remember when I got even more infuriated when they put "Megaman" in Street Fighter x Tekken, but it was that horrible box art Megaman which was requested by no one ever, and some of them were like "yeah, you wanted Megaman, right? Here it is!"
I'm feeling my blood boil once again.

Megaman was in my top 3 most played characters in MvC and I rocked with him. Any excuses for his absense are the most pure bs. How awesome would it be to have X versus Zero?
