Mass Effect 3 - Part 10

Exactly. There are two endings I wouldn't like for ME 3. One being a random GOD LIKE force that saves the Galaxy or another being that to defeat the Reapers, everyone has to become a primitivst and destroy the Relays, Citadel, etc. Both would make me pretty unhappy as those endings have been done to death.

Hahah.

I hope someone has that poor bastard on suicide watch.

Man, must he hate being right, right now.

Am I the only one who actually liked the ending?

Also, Mass effect 2's ending was terrible! I'll take the star-child catalyst over a human raper made out of melted colonists any day.

Don't make me cut you.

:cmad:

I'll take the Collector's base as a final mission and ending than the Catalyst, in fact I had hoped ME3's final mission be in the similar vein of ME2's.

However Marauder Shields was a fantastic final boss.

Whatever one might thought of ME2 it wasn't the end of the trilogy so that's why 3 gets the scrutiny it does. Besides 2 led directly into The Arrival which bridged the gap between the games so I don't think it needed a big ending as the saga wasn't ending

I had a hard time taking the collector base mission seriously when i found out that the whole point of the collector base was to melt humans to make a giant robot. WTF?

LOL!

....wait, you're serious? :o

Also, a human raper? What game were you playing???

I want my Orgasmic Rape Simulator! :cmad:

I bought ME1 after hearing about all the Orgasmic Rape possibilities and was shocked when I discovered NONE.

NONE.

In seriousness, though, I was kinda wondering what happened to that whole Human Reaper concept. I mean, it seemed like kind of a big deal in ME2 that they were trying like crazy to make a Human Reaper, but then it just went nowhere and is never mentioned again during ME3.

Yeah, ME2 final mission was 100 times better than the horde mode final mission in ME3. Involving the whole crew was great and I was hoping that ME3 would have a similar mission.

:oldrazz: lol human raper. As opposed to a non-human raper.

Beastility!

The remains of the human reaper can be found at the Illusive Man's base.

It was probably from before they decided to scrap the Dark Energy plot.

It still works in so far as the Reapers feel that its their mission to turn advanced organics into Reapers to "save" them and they believe that humans are the best this cycle has to offer. When they get the Citadel over Earth the very first thing they do is begin putting another Human Reaper together again.

Well, it was their means of reproduction I thought? Harvest the pinnacle species into a reaper and encase it in the reaper shell. All the reapers inside are made up of harvested protheans, and whatever species came before them.

Let me rephrase: I think the ending is overall satisfactory, and I was ok with how the trilogy concluded. I loved the final confrontation with the illusive man, and shepard's final conversation with anderson. All of that was fantastic.

I was OK with the concept of the catalyst and the final three choices, but I did not like the way they were presented. The explanation was too quick, and Shepard didn't really get a chance to respond before having to choose. I would rather have a longer conversation with the catalyst, but I'm willing to live with it as is.

I HATED the normandy plothole. How did my squad get on the normandy and why is it running away? This is the only thing that I think should be changed.

I chose the destroy ending. I LOVE the fact that no matter what, you have to destroy the relays in order to stop the reapers. I like the whole idea that travel throughout the galaxy has occured along this pre-destined path that has led to problems. All of the main conflicts in the Mass Effect Universe's history occurred when two races came into contact via relay before they were ready to meet each other. The Rachni Wars, Krogan Rebellion, and First Contact War were all triggered by races using the relays before they were ready.

The ending does leave the galaxy in a dire state, but it is ultimately hopeful about the future. Life can evolve, but this time, it will do it on its own. Life will not evolve along the reaper's pre-determined path anymore.

I agree with most of that conceptually, I just think they totally failed on execution which is where it really matters in the end. I also thought stranding the Normandy was excessive.

you loved the relays getting destroyed because thats what connected the races?

you do realize all the races are now stuck in the same system, right?

No they're not. Most of the civilians of each race are on their home planet still. It's not like they sent every single turian/krogan/salarian/etc. to earth. They just sent over their military forces. Wrex even specifically says in the end that there are Krogan who stayed on Tuchanka to rebuild while some forces were sent to earth. I'm pretty sure someone says the same thing about the quarian on rannoch as well. The game never implies that every single race is now in the sol system.
