I just you-tubed the endings just in case I was disappointed again. I can happy say I wasn't this time around due they actually explained how everything happened. I was okay with Shepard dying in the end, despite some of the silly things they did in the 3rd game (Ranchi) that they brought back.

Overall, it explained why it happened, and that's the best I could have hoped for to be honest. I think the control ending was the best, and that's the one I choose in the beginning anyways. He would have rather had that if anything since it seemed the most paragon. When I get up to play again I'll go renegade.

Despite this is the thing we should have got in the beginning, IMO. Good fix overall, tho.

To those who have played thru the EC: are there any actual fighting cinematics during the final push like we've been asking for, like cutting to Krogan kicking ass or Biotics ripping Husks apart or whatever? Or is it mostly just post-credits stuff?

Nope. Biggest missed opportunity.

After you make your choice you see more fighting on earth though, as the energy begins spreading.

While I didn't like Allers, Wong's twitter death was actually pretty good.

I would have had Al-Jilani as the news reporter.

It was cool but it really would have been just as effective of a marketing strategy if it were a brand new character or something.

Yeah, the Destroy beam doesn't differentiate between synthetics and Reapers. EDI's name is on the memorial wall at the end.

No, the EMS affects how destructive the beam is.

well, after watching all the extended endings, I'm actually leaning towards Control as the option my Shep would pick.

I just can't see my Shep choosing to sacrifice her friend and teammate, let alone an entire race. Shep would choose to sacrifice herself to control the Reapers and use their power for good.

also, now you DON'T have to play MP in order to get your EMS the highest, correct?

Correct, you need 3100 Effective Military Score to unlock all endings which is do-able.

Granted but the ending monologue gives a good indication that Shepard is not going to go all Evil Overlord, at least in Paragon Control.

Renegade Control, he definitely goes evil overlord.
