Just for those who are curious: the new EMS value for the top level Destroy endings (Shepard lives) is 3100.

Thanks, I had heard a couple dates but wasn't sure when for sure.

the dlc is going to be 10 extra minutes...and the scenes are all of BW people saying '**** you!'

as long as it still has the 'Look for new DLC' at the end, its a WIN!

With no word on single player DLC I'm thinking that we may end up looking back at the EC and going "oh there it was".

I still think ME4 will be an MMO.

That rumour does keep popping up. I think people just expect them to pull the same crap the did with Kotor.

I'm replaying the whole game. I planned to when first DLC launched. In my first playthrough Zaeed, Kasumi and Jack were all dead. This is a playthrough with all characters having survived the suicide mission.

So, without spoilers....how bad is it?

so, I saw on Youtube that there is a new "Refusal" option, besides Destroy, Synthesis, and Control.

is that legit??

edit: I guess it is true.

Yes, there is a 4th option in extended cut, where
you refuse to choose and the cycle continues.
That's actually a pretty good addition IMO.

I just watched the extended destroy ending and the new ending. I don't know, i felt pretty neutral about them. But that's probably because i didn't really hate the original endings with passion like most people did.

Ah come on, spoilers people! I didn't think it would be available yet, so early in the day

Can Shepard and co win the war by refusing if your score ia high enough or is it an automatic death sentence for everyone? If the latter that is quite the middle finger from BW as it essentially addresses all of the complaints that choice doesn't matter and the events prior to the star child being pointless by saying, "yep."

I'm trying to avoid spoilers.

Can I get  or :down?

Yea I was just About to edit my post, good thing I live in the states, I'm just gonna stay away from this thread until I see it myself just in case

in regards to the new Refusal Ending:

I read online that by refusing the star kid's 3 choices, Shep sacrifces herself, the Crucible fails, and this generation "loses" the battle. But, Liara leaves behind a hologram message in hopes that future generations will be able to make the Crucible work to defeat the Reapers.

The "epilogue" scene after the credits now shows a woman and child talking about the legend of Shep, and confirms that future generations did defeat the Reapers using the Crucible tech.

So, you do end up defeating the Reapers, albeit in a roundabout manner.

I have only seen the Youtube video that ends with Liara's hologram. It didn't show the epilogue scene, so I can't confirm that part.

What i understand is that the cycle just continues and everyone pretty much dies. (And Shepard is just left standing there like an idiot, which looked pretty stupid). However we see Liara's recording and a different after-credits scene, where they address that Shepard's cycle fought the war so the next one doesn't have to.

I haven't looked up how the score affects the extended cut, so there might be something more i don't know.

Cute move from Bioware. They added the feature that fans asked for but did so by saying "**** you, our story is right, yours is wrong, pick it and you pay." This goes to show just how badly they handled the P.R. fallout and that the extended cut is more of a begrudging concession than a true attempt to address fan concerns.

I tried watching one of the new endings, but I just wanted to punch that ghost kid in the face to much. :o Probably still not going to be able to own this game anytime soon.

Not too shabby. I didn't have anything better to do so I figured I'd play. I don't know why he said to start before the cerberus mission coz there's no new content until the run to the beam so I wasted an hour getting through all that s**t.

The Normandy picks up your squad members during the run to the beam. Shepard orders them to go even though they want to fight by his/her side.

Hackett is given a report that somebody made it to the beam.

There are actually dialogue trees to pry further into whatever the f**k the catalyst is saying, and you even get the chance to say f**k off which leads to failure and a new post-credits epilogue.

The nicest thing is they changed the blurb at the very end into a thank you. Hahah. This had to be everything they originally planned because this isn't clarification, this is what should have been in the game to begin with. It's not an ideal ending and it still has its problems but meh, I'm gonna check out the other three endings and get back on them.
