So.... I seen the ME3 figures at TRU. I have a strict Transformers only policy but I might break down and get the Legion that was there. Fantastic lookin figure.

Talking about this one?

I have been thinking about getting some of those ME ship replicas that are running about but I think I'd want something larger than the models they sell.

It's VERY well done.. The attention to detail really impresses me. I spent my figure limit for the week (Optimus Prime and Starscream TFPrime figs) but if it's not there next week I'll just grab it for 20 off of Amazon.

ME3 Insanity run as sentinel now!

^^ So how do you like the game ?
I stopped my casual run through of ME3 so I could go back and get all the characters to survive the suicide mission in ME2 (like you said) and finish Insanity at the same time. Also was as rude as possible to the Illusive Man. So I'm restarting ME3 now. Everything so far has been great and there are a fair few improvements over ME2. Fun to try out a different class. Sentinel now after being a soldier & engineer in the 1st 2 games.

^^ I like the combat better on ME3. It seems more...fluid. Also like the fact that Shepard is more agile. Love dodging from cover to cover!

How'd you like the story so far?

Yeah, technical gameplay has come a long way from ME1. I love meeting up with the old guys from the 1st game. Feel even closer to them as they've been there since the beginning and have spent more time with them on my squad. Story is developing as well as ME2 but not deep enough into it yet. I miss having a villain like Saren though.

No, I restarted and I'd only got into about 4 main missions up to then.

Oh ok..you said that on your first post. My made in china glasses missed that apparently hehe

Anyway...i absolutely love ME 3 storyline. loved that it made Shepard seems...more human. My Shepard no longer feels like a galactic super hero.

You know what amuses me about that?

People *****ed back in the day when Mass Effect first came out that Saren wasn't a good villain and BioWare had screwed the pooch because he "wasn't in the game enough."

Ahhh, "true" BioWare fans.

I like him to be a bit of both.

I thought he was excellent but I guess he could have been in the game more. It probably works better for ME as a self contained game to have his story end there but as a trilogy I would rather he was in all 3 games and that ending take place at the end of ME3. Anyway I'll have a more relevant view when I finish ME3.

I thought he was in the game just fine, and honestly I'm happy he expired at the end of ME1.

Ultimately the story was about Shepard and the Reapers, and while Saren was fun, he'd ultimately have become a distraction from the real story.

Plus I liked the reality of a major villain getting taken out. Nice break from the style we see more often in Japanese-influenced RPGs, where villains never really die and just seem to follow the player around like creepy stalkers.

A Mark Meer interview from the start of the month, nothing groundbreaking - I always get a kick out of hearing the man speak, its great when he slips into the [blackout] Vorcha voice [/blackout]

Just to clarify, i am NOT a BW hater, but i gotta say, in almost all interviews i've seen the devs team in, almost all of them comes across arrogant dbags...

Not all of them, but most of them IMO

Or maybe it's just me.

paldin did say "dev's" though. Mark Meer's hardly a dev. It would have been interesting if he were a voice actor and a dev too.

From what I've seen it's only a few that come off as what paladin(mostly the head's of the game and those in marketing the latter mostly is what would be what pal described ) said and it's very small. other's are going by script as you said and trying not to look like their just reading off some one hold large cards behind a camera / telepromter showing them what to say. And their are just normal guy's other wise. And you can tell they rather be doing their work, then just being on screen.

But more and more people are interested about what jobs exist in the games industry. And they feel they have to put a face and voice and let people know about those jobs/ titles and what the work they do that is involved in it. It depend on who's talking though.

^^

Yup! Like you said, it's mostly the head devs. I just don't like their..dismissive and condescending attitude shown in some vids.

Even that woman-PR they've got got some attitude. I dunno...i'm not saying they're supposed to be uber-friendly, but definitely not acting like THAT.

To be honest, I've never liked how much BW tries to be friends with their community and interact with them.

Its fine when everything is all well and good but when there's a problem the barriers that imo should be there between player and developer or even to a certain extent members of PR aren't there, leading to **** getting messy and personal.
