I liked Vega as well.

I thought once he calmed down after leaving Earth, Vega turned out to be pretty amiable. His conversations with Cortez especially did a lot to flesh him out as a person rather than just a soldier.

N7 Paladin.

All the N7 classes are really cool, I'm only missing the Destroyer at this point. I hope when ME4 rolls around they really depart from the standard 6 classes and bring in some of the concepts they introduced in MP.

I think the characterization of Vega in my head made him more enjoyable. I just kept picturing him as some kind of dude bro, fist bumping all over the galaxy.

I loved Vega. I thought they did a better job with him than most people initially expected.
well any way if this anime is done by the people of ghost in the shell he'll be better fleshed out and possibly more likeable to people then what was done in the actual game. though for some certain people it won't matter cause it has come out too late for them to give damn and they've made up their minds from what they've seen already of him .

If it had happened the other way around as the anime be done and release befor hand if it turns out to be good that is.

oh well doesn't matter some people in the writing biz these days really just don't know what their doing with certain characters that's the problem and they seem to put more effort into one that's already been made cool , which may be should have been put into those other characters they that they want people to see that way , they are just too lazy to do that for the other characters and their baffled as to why their failing at making that character accepted to the fan base. their not thinking straight these days. that's the problem.

I love Vega. He was a pretty funny character, which goes a long way with me. I loved his interactions with Garrus.

Eh, seeing as how these video game cartoon movies are almost never good I'd rather an anime tie-in thing be of a character I'm not overly attached to than one that I am.

That's not true I've seen a lot of good ones . but it's always a 50/ 50 thing too. and the chance's greater on who's writing it as well. we'll just have to see how this does ether way.

Vega was worthwhile for that scene where you can send him to work on the control panel. I laughed so hard.

I dont even remember that. I really need to do a second playthrough on insanity with my femShep

Morons...like i said...

Anyway...to counter balance the irritation, here's something that'll at least makes some of you smile...

I love this picture.

I'm not sure what's happening with Kasumi. Is she drunk?

so what's the general consensus on how ME1 plays on the PS3?

does it run pretty good and smooth? any major graphical differences between the PS3 and 360 versions?

I thought it was great. I didn't have any major problems with it.

Wonder what it's like going back to the original Mass Effect now after the other 2. I haven't yet.

It's during the first mission on Rannoch. There's a part where you have to have a squadmate hack through a panel & if you choose Vega, this happens:

LOL

Yeah I liked James. I'll admit I thought he looked pure *****ebag at first but turns out he was pretty cool.

The controls and mechanics are pretty damned clunky and its a much stiffer game than ME2/3 but the main story missions are all pretty damned good and its definitely worth doing so at least once just to smile when Garrus lets off "Commander Shepard?" at their first meeting just knowing where that goes.

The first game is full of retroactive moments like that, which is pretty neat.

But man if the Citadel isn't the most boring place in ME to me. The Presidium is just an awful place that is in-universe a boring and placid locale. I think I liked the Citadel in 2 the most because the ward you visited felt shady and there was no Presidium.

That and the Mako sidequests are so awful.

But like I said, its worth doing at least once.

I liked the Presidium precisely because it was this dull, quiet place. It made it feel more true to life and believable if you get what I mean.

I read you and yes - you are definitely right in that regard. I don't want everything to be Omega. This may be admittedly a result of my having replayed ME1 so many times that the intentionally boring locale wore thin on subsequent playthroughs.

It was a chore going back after the second game. The story was still awesome but the shooty bits just didn't hold up as well. It felt to me like the mechanics in the later games had more 'weight' to them than the first one but it's only really apparent when you replay the original.

What this meant for me was that I just rushed through the main missions and didn't worry so much about all the side missions and wandering around in the Mako.

I will say this about the mako missions; they're definitely not as annoying as the firewalker/hammerhead ones, that thing can't take any damage!

Aside from the really ****** health and lack of a machine gun I thought the Hammerhead was really cool in both look and handling.

The health thing just took all the fun away from it for me, spent most of my time recovering health during those missions

I didn't have a problem managing my health. I will say that I don't think the game did a good enough job alerting the player to the status of the Hammerhead.
