Mass Effect 3 - - - - - Part 14

Ehhh, The Tyranny of King Washington is pretty good. I've yet to play Citadel, mind you.

They are having a PAX panel currently, some statistics got posted from ME3:

Apparently video of the panel will be up later. I read that Hudson mentioned he would like to see a ME game about a private detective (yes please).

Wow some of those stats are pretty mind blowing. 4% completed insanity? Vega was the 3rd most popular squad member?

My brain is melting.

I'm actually surprised so many people cured the Genophage even though Wrex was dead for the majority of players.

I'll never understand why so many people choose soldier.

Similarly, I remember for Dragon Age Origins some insane number like 80 something percent of people only ever played the Human Noble origin.

That's ridiculous. Can't blame people for choosing that though, it along with the Dwarf Noble, are the two best origins in the game in my opinion.

Haha! I knew I was right about the detective idea! I hope Bioware goes through with it; I loved LA Noire and I would kill to see a ME game like it.

The Kaidan thing sucks. He's a pretty good character and most people give him the shaft JUST because Ashley is a girl. If Ashley was a guy, I guarantee more people would have saved Kaidan

Those stats are crazy, and I pretty much did the opposite of all of them expect through my paragon play through I did cure the Genophage. Other than that, I really haven't touched it to much expect sometime the multiplayer which is more fun than I thought would be.

I played through Leviathan tonight and wow was I impressed. I thought it was amazing. The story was great, the pacing was nice, and there's enough variety in gameplay to keep it fresh. The parts on the mining colony were so perfectly creepy and eerie. And I loved the detective style stuff at the office.

Also loved the extended lore, but at the same time it just made me think of how crap the endings are even more so. With the knowledge you gain from Leviathan combined with the Geth/Quarian alliance, it's just absolutely cheap and assenine that you can't convince the Reapers to abandon their harvest. I don't even care if they still made Shep die doing so...you have so much information about flaws in the Reaper's logic and info about their creation that you should've been able to say "GTFO" if you had enough war assets. Leviathan just made the endings feel even more manufactured to me.

Still, just a great piece of DLC. Way better than Omega which I thought was mostly boring.

Because every damn sqaud mate I gave a damn about covered all the other powers. I always play soldier..never cared for floaty mind powers...just give me a damn gun.

people should be allowed to play the class they feel like and play in the way they want . so the options are fine. As for me I'm a bit over saturated with the soldier things so I choose adept of vanguard or infiltrator he I'll even choose engi in this game . then again this kinda why I been leaning to spy type series games be side super hero stuff . other I'll play any game if there some new or interesting in it or some new catch to it. cause I get more options to deal with things then just guns.

Noone wanted to play it again after their first go through which is why the insanity is so low

Looks like bioware staring a new ip

BioWare Edmonton and producer Casey Hudson working on 'a whole new fictional universe'

During a panel this weekend at PAX East, Mass Effect producer Casey Hudson revealed that his team at BioWare Edmonton has started work on "a whole new fictional universe." Other details weren't shared, except that Hudson said that he and BioWare's Senior Creative Director Preston Watamaniuk are going to be "building something new" together.

Hudson oversaw Mass Effect 3 as an executive producer, and he says he'll still serve that role on the next Mass Effect title. But that game is being developed at BioWare Montreal, so Hudson's team at BioWare Edmonton has moved on to something completely new. Hopefully we'll hear more about it soon.

I don't remember hearing anything on it from there. I was too busy covering the marvel heroes stuff and doing the beta too. I didn't even have time for what was said at Bioshock. shame on me. I'll keep looking though if anything was said on DA.

Hey now. I still love the heck out of ME3. Maybe some are just like me and never cared to play insanity...at all...in any of the ME games.

Good god I think whoever designed the first level of Citadel didn't bother to try it on Insanity. Holy frig it was so hard and frustrating.

I suspect that level on Insanity is going to really change depending on your class. I was an Infiltrator so it was really thrilling to cloak, headshot a dude and then cloak again as the rest of them went looking for me.

Also once I realized I didn't need to kill everyone to proceed that got bit got a whole lot easier.

There was no sneaking for me haha they would spot me immediately every time even if I tried to.

In other news, I finished the story portion and it was so satisfying that I wished so bad it was either post-game DLC or that it was the ending to ME3. Seriously, the scene where
you and your crew walk off into the "sunset" and Shep goes "Maybe we can get some shore leave without any explosions for once" and Wrex replies "Well maybe some explosions." Like, I couldn't stop smiling. It seriously would've been the best ending ever. I almost don't even want to finish the actual game now and just pretend that's the end.
