Mass Effect 3 - - - - - Part 14

The thing is that on insanity, the little buggers had armor as well so you had to weaken them until you could throw them away. I also did not have the best of squadmates for that mission, and you could not go back and change them.
Yeah that doesn't look familiar to me. Must have missed it :csad:

Varren are definitely buggers!

Indeed they are!

In other news, I'm almost finished reading Ascension. Both this and the first one, Revelation, are really well written and thrilling.

Ive been trying to play this game all afternoon and it just hangs on the main screen saying "checking for downloadable content" and never leaves that. WTH? EA get your stuff together. So damn annoying

I get that too, except it "unfreezes" after maybe 20 seconds, then I'm good to go.

Mass effect 3? If so I've actually had this same problem. Did you recently uncheck the option for game data to be saved by EA?

That's what usually causes it. If that's the case, what you wanna do is disconnect your console from the internet, start up the game, enable the aforementioned option, exit to dashboard, connect to internet and start up game again.

I've been having this sort of happen with ME2. It doesn't freeze, but it feels like it takes longer than I remember to get past that part.

Yeah yesterday I noticed the option to not connect to EAs servers and unchecked it and got the problem. Yay I disconnected from PSN before starting the game and that fixed it.

It feels so weird playing the Leviathan DLC a year after I beat the game. This feels like an alternate universe and makes me wish I had played all the DLC before I beat the game

How is the DLC for ME3? I'm thinking about buying some of it since I finally have a copy of the game now, but I remember hearing that there were some that weren't worth it.

Extended and Citadel are pretty much mandatory, never got Leviathan, Omega was eh. Can't speak for any of the mp stuff since I never played that either.

Yeah I think it was Omega that I heard was disappointing, which is a shame because I always hated that they didn't let you go back there in ME3.

And I'm kinda bummed that EA finally got rid of the online pass right when I got my copy. I hated that I couldn't get my war assets all the way to complete since I rented the game and couldn't play online when it first came out.

They missed an opportunity to make Omega another hub world for ME3, something I always felt was lacking over the multiple hubs of games past (I think ME2 had like 3 hub worlds)

Finished Leviathan today and IMO, kinda regret I spent money on it. It didn't wow me at all. I really had a hard time getting into Shepard chasing this beast to help in taking down the Reapers knowing that this entire DLC is a waste bc it wont take down the Reapers and the universe's fate is predetermined. Like I said earlier, I really wish this is something Id have been able to experience before I beat ME3 but knowing what I knew after that, it pretty much killed the entire premise behind the DLC.

You guys hyped up Citadel pretty well so I hope it doesn't disappoint when I try it out. At $15 I don't see myself getting Omega. If you guys really think its worse than Leviathan, it must be really bad bc I didn't think Leviathan was all that great.

On a side note, it felt weird going back to my original male Shep after just completing an insanity run with my female Shep. Maybe Id have had a better experience here had I used her since her saga was more fresh in my mind

Citadel is far better than Leviathan because it pretty much has it's own story and you get these great moments with your squadmates.
Leviathan could have been more interesting if they took another route with the reapers in the end of the game. I liked the locations though, especially the one where you find the leviathan, it reminded me of the rakatan homeworld in Kotor.

caved and bought Citadel. Hoping its as good as you guys made it out to be. Trying to play and beat it before Friday

citadel is awesome. its basically a big celebration of the series but with a good story

Citadel is pretty much compulsory for any Mass Effect fan. If you like the characters it really is the best way to finish the series.

Just completed Citadel.

When playing it, I kept thinking I cant stand Brooks and I hope Im not the only one. She came across too much of a newbie and I kind of figured out she was [BLACKOUT]double crossing me[/BLACKOUT] and kept expecting that reveal so i wasnt surprised it it happened. I did like how they connected her to the events of [BLACKOUT]ME2 by compiling the dossiers.[/BLACKOUT]

I definetly did not see that [BLACKOUT]clone[/BLACKOUT] twist coming though. I was wondering who could have been teh mysterious figure so I was shocked when I saw it was Shep. I thought they were going to try and have him claim to be the real Shep, and leave it off as a mystery by the end, but they didnt go that route. That final battle was great though. They really should have had something like that with the Illusive Man

One part I hated though when you go in disguise looking for Kahn. I hated that section. Too much waiting around and I hated having to disable stuff without getting caught. And it was to help Brooks and her inept self.

During one of the missions Tali says "I never get picked" LOL, bc I never picked her during my playthrough

I didnt realize there was an armor locker and weapon bench in the apartment until after I beat it and I was looking at Thane's messages

I went into this under the impression that your old squadmates would return as squadmates here and was dissapointed that only Wrex did. I kept waiting for Miranda to pop up, but she never did :(. Luckily you could invite her over after so I got them to reunite.

I chose the energetic party even though i think my Shep would have preferred more of a quiet evening. After all the crap they went through, they needed to just let loose and have fun

Did I miss something or did Shep not get any alone time with Jack? She was the only one I didnt get a message from

Joker: "....kissing babes"
EDI: "I think the expression you were looking for was kissing babies"
Joker: "I know what i said" :awesome:

Anyways this made for a FANTASTIC conclusion to the series. Had the ending not been so final, this would have been perfect after Shep defeated the Reapers. I can kind of almost ignore that and accept it as such. Wasnt expecting such a long, drawn out epilogue after you defeated the villian. It almost felt just as long if not longer than the DLC. Like that he gets these indepth moments with all the squad members and they celebrate their victory and adventures. I would say this kind of makes up for the ending debacle of last year. Almost feels like this was in direct response to that

You do get to use all your ME2 squadmates that are still alive in the Armax Arena, you just need to unlock them using the bronze tokens.

And I do believe Jack has 2 hang outs with Shepard, actually.

Both version of the party are pretty great, Tali gets way more drunk in the calm party which is a hoot and the Shepard/Wrex/Grunt scene is hilarious.

Cool, didnt know that. Can I return to that part of the Citadel once I've boarded the Normandy?

It's the perfect ending to the series for me. Glad I played it last.

I finished playing through the whole the trilogy for the first time a few days ago. I really enjoyed it and was surprisingly invested in the story and world presented. As far as the ending goes, I wouldn't call it a satisfying one but it did not undo the experience. It was still a great game and series, only the last five or so minutes were disappointing.

I didn't really like Man Of Steel much, but damned if it didn't hit the nail on the head when it came to Reapers. I suppose now the question is, why the hell were Reapers in MOS? :(
