Mass Effect 3 - Part 2

If they expand the universe into new games I would love to still have my actions count. Hopefully they could let you import your saved games into that so that the new games pick up where you left off. Say for instance that in the end of part 3 you decide to side with the Reapers. In the new games you can play in a world where Shepard is the villain that you ended up creating. It would be pretty fun.

I could see that being a problem. Perhaps for Shepard's return (if he doesn't die across all playthroughs), you'd just be able to decide the decisions made in the first trilogy similar to the ME1 digital comic they have for PS3 players.

I can see them doing this.

I would love for my Shep's legacy to carry over into the new games. even if I'm playing as a new character. and even if the setting is many years ahead.

Just finished ME2 on the PS3 and I'm very impressed. This quickly went from a rental to a must-have and I can't believe it took me almost a whole year of owning a PS3 to even think about giving it a shot. I'm definitely looking forward to ME3.

That's a very interesting way to look at it. The great thing about Kirk and Picard is that they come from two different eras, so the "Picard" of the series would come along a century or so later doing their own thing while Shepard changed the universe big time in his day. It would be pretty cool.

It doesn't have to be centuries later, look at Janeway and Sisko, they're both from Picards era.

Judging by what I read I would hazard a guess that we'll be seeing major stuff in Oct/Nov. The two bits of video I know we're supposed to be getting is a FemShep trailer and a unveiling of voice actors like they did for ME2.

Pre-ordered the Collector's Edition back in July.

This lack of information is killing me. I need a confirmed crew list. Gotta have my loyal team: Miranda(!) and Garrus or I'm gonna be pretty upset. As everyone survived my second play-through (Insane difficulty) as a Vanguard, the interactions should be interesting.

March can't come soon enough.

I hear you, man. Grunt was my alternate for missions that required a little extra heavy lifting. All things considered, I'd rather have Wrex back but I'll take either.

I loved Thane too, but I could understand if he's written out. Just makes sense - him being sick and all.

Personally, I'm pretty 'meh' about Jacob, Samara, and the thief (blanking on her name).

Mordin needs to return, if only as an NPC. Same with the Merc (again, blanking on his name) and Legion.

Jack, however, can get lost. Never liked the character or her attitude.

Just wish we'd get a confirmation on the crew.

My team was always Miranda and either Kasumi, Tali or Thane. I don't know but I always felt like I just had to have Miranda with me.

Sigh. Thane hasn't been written out. He just won't be a primary squadmember. All previous squadmates will be seen again, they just won't be fighting at your side this time around.

And Jack is going to be back as a squadmate.

I admit, I'll be a little sad if Miranda doesn't end up on the team. Liara is cool and all, but that bonus to weapons was killer in ME2

All but. They've talked about her new look, they've talked about her changed personality, and some other stuff. They just haven't come out and officially said she's back, to my knowledge.

No but its been described as being a bit less crazy to reflect that she's matured a bit and is more at peace with herself. I know hair-wise a Dev said she's grown some on the top with the sides still shaved and is supposed to have a ponytail, though that was said months ago so who knows what the final look will be.

The thing is, the redesign seems pretty thorough and thought out as opposed to let's say Mordin who has stayed the same. That coupled with bits of info from here and there and they seem to be putting a lot of effort into Jack. Could just be that they want to make the effort, but I'd hedge my bets she's going to be a squadmate.

of course, with Tali, I think the big question is......will they/won't they reveal her face..........lol
